Getting to Skyliner from EPCOT Monorail without going through the park?

Hi...in light of the news of the imminent return of the EPCOT monorail, we're trying to game plan some park and resort hopping. If we were at an MK resort - we're staying at Poly - and wanted to get over to DHS, could one take the EPCOT monorail to EPCOT and then ride the Skyliner over? I know based on past experience the Skyliner picks up at the IG entrance, whereas the EPCOT monorail drops off at the main entrance. Could one walk over to IG without going through the park?

There is no way to walk from the Epcot main entrance to the IG without going through the park. Your best transportation option would be to bus directly to DHS from your resort.

I’d take the bus from Poly to HS. You can walk/boat to the Crescent Lake hotels. Then maybe jump on the Skyliner at IG to check out the Riviera/CBR/Pop resorts. Maybe take a bus to Disney Springs from these resorts and then head back to your resort from DS.

Using WDW transportation, the fastest, best way to HS from POLY is the resort bus directly to HS. But, if the Skyliner is an absolute (for the experience, desire, etc.), then my recommendation is to go to MK bus transportation and get into the YC/BC resort bus queue. Take that bus back to the BC resort, get off and then walk through the lobby, courtyard and turn left. The skyliner station will be about a 2 minute walk.

Or you can take a bus from MK to Yacht Club/Beach Club or Broadwalk and walk 5 minutes to IG to catch Skyliner to DHS.

You can however get directly on the Skyliner from HS. Take a bus from wherever to HS and the Skyliner station is just before the entrance to the park.

not yet nope. I think there are a few rumors about it opening in a few weeks.. but who knows hah

Yes, sorry, a site mentioned this morning that they've observed training taking place and that Cast Members are being scheduled to resume its operations within the next week or so
