Hoping someone can point us in the right direction.

We are spending some time in WDW before heading to our DCL and we are wanting to spend 1 day at Seaworld. We will be staying at the All Star Movies resort and there will be 7 of us in the party (5 adults and 2 kids).

Just wondering what the best (and most efficient) way of getting there might be and where to get rates? We are uncertain about renting a car because the time and expense for a big enough car for the 7 of us seems high from what I have seen. So what about shuttles or another idea?

thnx for the help!

Two suggestions:

1. A bus from Disney's Ticket and Transportation Center, Lynx Bus #50, I think. Check with the Lynx bus website or at the information booth at the Ticket and Transportation Center. It costs roughly $3 per person roundtrip.

2. Mears Van/Bus. Call Mears Transportation ahead of time and make an appointment. Not sure of the price but they will pick you up outside your hotel's lobby.

Both are good suggestions, Scott. For the OP the first one will be much less expensive but will take a longer time enroute. Disney bus from the resort to Ticket and Transportation, then Lynx to Seaworld.
The second way will be more convenient but more expensive.
Take your pick.

There are a couple of locations on Disney property that have rental car pick-up and/or drop-off. You may want to consider renting a minivan for just a couple days. They seat 7. Just a thought.

Hi

Just a note that the Lynx 50 bus now makes an additional pickup from Downtown Disney (the stops on the far side of Cirque de Soleil) which is much easier/quicker to get to from ASM etc that the TTC. Used it a couple of weeks ago (the only small snag is the early DDT buses from the resorts only stop at the Marketplace so you have a little walk to the stops).

Cheers

I'd suggest just telling your hotel/ resort concierge how many are in your party and call for a shuttle taxi. While staying at FQ in April, we needed a taxi to go to SW and UO, they sent us a van all three times. It easily could seat that many people in your party.

Or as Scott suggests, you can call Mears directly.

We used the lynx #50 in August, it was pretty easy we got on at TTC. We almost attempted the DTD pick-up but went with TTC...it cost us 6.00 roundtrip for my family because the kids were under 7, when we left I thought under 5 or 6 but I driver said under 7. Have fun:)
