We are thinking about going to SeaWorld for one day, but since we don't rent a car, we are wondering what is the best (least expensive) way to get to SeaWorld from Disney.

Is there any place to rent a car in Disney?

Thanks

There are many options.

I beleive Mears has a shuttle for $13 (?) per person.
You could rent a car for the day. All of the on property rental agencies do have shuttles.
If you can get to the TTC easily, you can take the LYNX bus #50 for $1.25 per person, each way.

We did the Lynx bus #50 (look for the paw print) last year-it's about a 5/10 minute walk to the entrance of SeaWorld from the nearest bus stop.

Thank you for the replies.

Once you get on the Lynx bus, how many stops do they make between TTC and Sea World. $3.00 seems almost too good to be true!!

Also, what car rental companies are on site at Disney?

Thanks

Well, actually, it'd be more along the lines of $2.50 each person round trip. Close enough. Just make sure to have EXACT CHANGE... they do take dollar bills, but they cannot give change.

As for being too good to be true... just remember, it is public transit. Although, Lynx is a fairly decent system. Clean, & efficient. As for stops... it really depends on how many times the STOP REQUEST button is pressed... It's about a 20 minute ride, though... and not many places to stop. Most of the buses have an automated "Talking Bus" system that will tell you when they get to SeaWorld, but if you're worried about missing it, sit up front, and ask the driver to let you know. Just be sure to signal the bus to stop.

I always keep all my park maps, tickets etc from my holidays and have just found a printed information sheet relating to your question. Here goes:-

Take the free Disney transport to the transportation and ticket centre at Magic Kingdom, from there you can take the Lynx 50 bus to Seaworld. The Lynx bus runs from transportation centre at 5 mins, past and 35 mins past the hour, Monday - Saturday and 20 past the hour on Sundays and Holidays, for $1 per person each way. The last bus back from Seaworld is at 9.39pm.

They've changed a bit since you went...

Fares are now $1.25.

Bus departs the TTC at :18 and :48 past the hour. Arrival at SeaWorld area is around :39 and :09 past the hour, making the trip around 21 minutes.

The return trip... buses leave the SeaWorld area at :09 and :39 past the hour... although, that's just an approximation. They might arrive and depart a few minutes early from these areas. Scheduled arrival time at the TTC will be :27 and :57 past the hour.

My daughters and I did this on our trip in Dec 2002. We were never afraid, and the drivers were VERY nice and accomedating!
We even took the Lynx to Belz Outlet Mall and shopped. Also took it to the Titanic Exhibit. We had a nice smooth tiome and never any problems.

I believe that one of the car rental companies has (or had) an office at the Swan or Dolphin.

The Lynx bus service is great, but getting to & from TTC is a pain as there is no direct Disney bus. You are going to have to change to the monorail at MK unless you can sweet talk the MK bus driver into diverting to TTC on the way. You might be lucky if his bus is near empty. Getting back is still a big problem.

BTW, I will be at BWV in September. Give me a wave across the lake!
