Getting to parks from Hotel Indigo

We are staying at Hotel Indigo for 2 nights (6/21 and 22) and I want to know the quickest and most efficient way to get to the parks. We will have a rental car. Is it better to drive? What's the walk like? I read somewhere around 15 mins, but has anyone done this personally? We will have a 5 year old with us.

I have stayed there back when it was a Holiday Inn Express. Very walkable. I would say 10 min tops but we walk a brisk pace with no kids so 15 min is very realistic expectation.

When I had an AP with parking, we would still drive over to M&F and take the tram in...probably took way more time but felt like less effort at the end of the day...however I would not do that if I was paying for parking.

Thanks! My thinking is that since we would have to pay for parking, it would have to be s lot more convenient to be worth it. However, by the time we drive, park, and tram I feel like we could have almost been there if we would've just walked. Especially with the recent stories of traffic being diverted to out of the way lots.
