Oops...should have put it on the transportation board to start...no replies on the Theme Park board.
I *think* I know the answer to this but I have to ask just to make sure...

On EE mornings, you can ONLY take Disney Transportation from a resort to get to MK? Is this correct? Does the monorail start running from TTC at 7am or just from the MK resorts?
If the park opens for EE at 8 and to everyone else at 9, there should be a bus leaving the Yacht Club around 7am?

I'd much prefer to drive and park at TTC but would I be stranded there? Or maybe they wouldn't even let you into the parking lot that early? I just don't trust those buses, especially when EE is only 1 hour, I'd rather not miss 20 minutes of it because the buses were full or running late, etc.

Another thought, could I park at TTC, walk to the Poly and get on the monorail there? It's not that far, is it?

MANY thanks in advance!
Meredith

I can't answer about the monorail at TTC on EE mornings, never done that.

But, I have taken Disney busses (from ASM, PO, and Swan) to MK several times for EE and have never been late for the opening of the gates. One morning, we were the 1st family to arrive and our daughters were selected to open the park. :D

From what I hear, the walk from the TTC to the Poly is very short, so that is always an option.

MK has always opened at 7:30am (Feb, May, June & Sept) when we were there for EE, so you get 1 1/2 hours of EE time! :D :D

We ALWAYS drive when we're at Disney - there is no problem driving to EE at any of the parks.

BUT, I'm not sure when the launches and/or Monorail will leave from TTC to get to MK - that might be where the delay is.

I know we've driven to MK on an EE day, and I know we've taken teh monorail. However, we rarely make it exactly an hour before, so there may be a delay that we've not seen because we're not right on time.

The resorts monorail (GF, Poly, Cont stops) starts running about 45 minutes to an hour before ee--that monorail stops at TTC and thus you can get on it. Nevertheless, don't rule out the bus. They start running about 7 and trip from YC takes about 25 minutes and you are left off right at the gate.

The gates to the TTC don't open until about 7:15 so you can't get on the resort monorail until then unless you walk over to the Poly.
