I am going to go to MK in the morning and then meet Dh later at MGM. He will park there. We are staying off site and he is going on an airboat tour. What is the best way for me to get from MK to MGM? How long do you think it will take me?

You should be able to get a bus from Ticket Transportation. Just get off boat or monorail and follow signs for a MGM bus. Depends on the time of day i would give myself at least half an hour.

You could also take the Resort Monorail to the CR and then take a bus to MGM. There may not be buses running to MGM from the TTC during the day. If you want to take a little more time and have a nice trip you could take a bus from MK to YC/BC or BW and then take the boat from there to MGM. I think an hour would be enough time as the previous poster said.

Have a great trip!

Ok a nice trip sounds good. So bus to Boardwalk and then boat to MGM. Right?? :thumbsup2

Yes.

However, its going to take longer than an hour.

You will wait about a half hour for a bus to BW at that time of day (unless there is a long line of people waiting for the BW bus).

The ride will be about 15 minutes.

Wait for the boat 10 minutes (if four boats are working).

boat ride 20 minutes.

If you are going to take the bus to MGM from CR, to save walking, just walk to the CR. By the time you walk to the monorail, up the ramp, and the walk from the CR 4th floor to the bus stop, it is less walking if you just walk.

What is CR? I figured out BW I just want to get there in a reasonable amout of time. 1 hr ok 1/12 not.

It's the Comtemporary Resort, easy to catch a bus right in front of the hotel.

Contemporary Resort which is right next to MK about a 5 min walk. I'd walk to CR then wait for a bus to MGM

We were really crazy one trip, and took the monorail from MK , switched to the EPCOT one, then walked through EPCOT to the International Gateway. We tried to jump on the boat to MGM, but a thunderstorm was approaching. We decided to walk to MGM, got stuck under the overpass/bridge part way, during the most ferocious thunderstorm we've ever witnessed at WDW. One of the globe lights on the bridge came crashing down into the water (just the top part) and floated down stream... :scared1:

When the rain finally stopped, we walked the rest of the way to MGM. :teeth:

My MIL took photos of us huddling under the bridge in our ponchos... :confused3

Can't tell you how long an uneventful trip that way would have taken, though, LOL!

I *think* there's a bus stop for MGM/Studios at the bus stations just outside of MK where the resort buses load/unload. I remember seeing bus stops for other parks at each park with the exception of MK to/from Epcot as that is serviced by the monorail. Just returned from WDW. Didn't see much bus activity at TTC at all.
