Getting to know us ~12/26/08~

I got spoiled too. :thumbsup2

Not too much scrappy stuff.

My parents got me a Iris cart with the drawers. love those things. A new HP photo printer, a $25 GC to Joanns. Gloves, Jammies, Serving spoons, hot pads, maglite for my car, cant remember what else.

DD's got me a car charger for my phone, tink jammies, 1st twilight book, My sisters got me 3,4. Just need #2.

Also got a Barnes and Nobles GC and cash from my Great-Grandmother.

Sounds like everyone got some good gifts.

AWM send me your number.. you can keep me entertained at ball games too!!! They'll be back in full force in Jan... with all 5 playing!!! Yep, oldest DsS has joined a league (not that we have to go to games) and DS8 starts his games in Jan!!!!

BAMB, I want that bracelet.. I'm showing it to DH!!! He may be in contact soon!!!

DH warned me that he was not going to spoil me this year. He always goes overboard at Christmas and my birthday but this year I went overboard on him instead (a new camera lens and case; new Wii remote; Wii nunchuck; clothes, etc.). But from DH, his parents, and my family I got:

- The Stack 12x12 Happily Ever After
- A new journal - I've kept a diary since I was 10 and go through 2 or 3 books a year and I'm very, very picky on what kind I'll use, so I'm thrilled DH got the right kind!
- A book I specifically wanted
- Fancy fuzzy slippers I asked for - they're the wrong size though so I have to exchange them
- Ann Taylor sweater
- Ann Taylor pants - not my size or taste so I need to exchange those
- Silver picture frame
- Lindtz Chocolates - I'm not a chocolate person but they're nice
- Necklace and earrings set - not my taste at all, so they'll be donated or re-gifted
- Lock & Lock containers in red - I LOVE these - I needed kitchen containers and these are perfect and they're red, which is my kitchen accent color
- Lots of cooking items - spices, rubs, sauces, etc. - which I love!
- Various stocking stuffers - Hello Kitty stuff (yes, I'm 10 and love Hello Kitty!); mints; mini containers for my craft room, etc.

And today I went to the mall and bought myself my favorite Yankee Candles at their 2-for-1 sale.

I got lots of packages of brads, the pooh cart I wanted, a number of cuttlebug folders, some distress inks, some distress ink pads, lots of stickles, the deep cutting hoiusing and blade for my cricut, 2 cricut mats, and things i bought at the expo a couple of weeks ago.

Outside of scrapping I also got a beautiful handmade quilt for our bed and a handmade knit blanket as well as a Wii game.

Technically I haven't gotten anything yet since we're not opening presents until the girls come over tomorrow (DH had to work Christmas Day.) But since I buy my own presents I can tell you what I will be getting. ;) I got 3 cartridges - Graphically Speaking, Doodlecharms and Indie Art, along with the deep blade housing and blade. Plus in my dozens of orders to Amazon for the kids last month I threw in something for me - the cookbook "How to Boil Water," which I am very much looking forward to reading and conquering my kitchen-phobia. My Dad will give DH and I a gift of dinner one night during our February Disney trip.

DH is the world's worst gift-giver, which is why I spare both of us the trauma, but he always does pick up one gift himself - he always gives all of us a lottery scratch ticket - the big expensive ones. Between the 6 of us, someone usually wins at least $20, so it'll be interesting to see who's the lucky one tomorrow! The best year was when the then-10 year old won $200!

I've had so much fun reading what everyone got! I pretty much knew all I was getting. DH has been so busy at work he didn't have much time to shop on his own.

From DH and the kids I got a really nice purse (I am a purse freak), the Sports Mania and Calligraphy cartridges, 2 Nintendo DS games (yes, I have my own- I like to play it on roadtrips), a beautiful houndstooth scarf, DH put a few scrappy things in my stocking, pj's, and .... there is one other thing, but it's eluding me.

From the IL's I got the matching wallet for my fabulous purse, an owl pandora charm (I've got a thing for owls right now), a GC to Archivers, and some cool mercury glass candle holders.

My SIL on DH's side gave me a Pandora charm- it's got hearts on it with black pearl.

My parents gave me the Tink cartridge, a cute brown sweater dress, and a ribbon organizer. My SIL on that side gave me a GC for more Pandora charms!:woohoo:

I was thoroughly spoiled!

and the coolest Disney bracelet known to man!!!!

That's a really pretty bracelet. I've got one similar, but the quality of mine is much lower! I got a silver bracelet from JCPenney and everytime we go to Disney, I buy one (or more) of the charms they sell in those bins that are all over the place and then hook it on the bracelet. I try to get ones that have some meaning to the trip. I've got probably about 40 or so on there now and I have space for 1 more which I'll get next weekend when we go.

i love that braclet! I'm like you DIT. when we were there last DH bought me a ton of silver charms, but we have not picked out a braclet for them yet. You got yours at JCP? i'll have to check that out next time i'm at the mall. for now they are just sitting in a bag in my drawer. maybe i'll put that on my MUST do list! thanks for the reminder.
Buffy, I bet that looks so nice on. I'd love to see it. It looks like everyone is on it! very very nice.

I'm late as usual, but here's what I got:

Mickey watch from DH (he bought it at DHS in November)
CD sountracks for Illuminations, Wishes, and Fantasmic
Disney Theme Park Monopoly game
Can you tell where DH shopped???

The boys got me Mickey pj's and a scarf

From my parents, I got a diamond pendant and chain (reset from a family ring), a couple of sweaters, and a pair of pants, and a Pixar Monopoly game (think that one's going back)

From the IL's, I got Mickey pj's (different ones), bath stuff and $

From myself, I'm getting a new bag from snaptotes.com.

This year Dh and I decided that we were not going to get alot under the tree because:
1) Got a new dining room set from Steiners Amish Store, which should be here in Jan
2) We redid the back yard, extended the patio area and had the whole thing stamped and got synthetic grass, LOVE IT! wish we had done it long before!
3) Going to the Baltics in 2010. Took care of that in Oct.
So, under the tree was the zebra from SW, WD Classics
a 3 piece Mickey punch set (which I gave him to give me) and my yearly calendar. DS gave me a gc to Jo's and DD made a cute tin and put mounting squares in stocking.
Since the kids are past the "age" I told them that this year I wanted them to think of Dh and me and they neede to get each of us something and they actually went for it!:cool1:

Then yesterday, Dh came into my office, which is also the catch all room and said lets go to IKEA!!! I now have nrw furniture for my scrap room!!!
Which means I now REALLY have to clean it!
I thanked him and he smiled and said "Merry Christmas!"
Love that man!

that is so nice Rita! good for you!

I love reading about what everyone else is getting.
I'm getting my wish list ready for next year. :)

sure, but that means you have to deal with my dad too. It pretty much balances out. LOL

It would be worth it to get MomK! :thumbsup2

We've all must have been really good girls, we got great stuff!

DH went waaaay overboard. He said it's because he had so much time to shop this year being out of work because of his surgery. Perhaps he should take leave every December!

I received a UConn blanket (toasty warm), an electric skillet, a digital frame, a digital keychain frame, my Clinique face stuff (yes, on my wish list, no hints being sent either :rotfl2: ), more Crop in Style pieces for my scrapbooking room, lots of trouser socks, nail moisturerizer stuff, five carts, a Disney snowglobe, WDW embellishments, WDW Christmas canvas bag (Mom needs to go to WDW every year just before Christmas), a gorgeous ceramic pottery platter, lottery tickets (didn't win a thing), and a beautiful bracelet that says Mom.

That's great and sounds super familiar! My craft room is all IKEA too! I LOVE it! When it's all organized (and cleaned up!) I'll have to post pix.

We were the same way - this year we got new windows, a screen room off our bedroom, all new hardwood floors (refinished and added hardwood in the kitchen, dining room, and DH's office), all new living room furniture, and most importantly, in 2009 hopefully, hopefully, hopefully our adoption will come through, as well as new carpet in our bedroom, and possibly a new dining room table and chairs, so honestly Christmas presents weren't a priority for us this year.
