Getting to know us 12/15

We usually put everything under the tree as it's wrapped. There are 5 packages under the tree--the ones I wrapped for DH on Sunday. I'm planning to wrap the rest on Friday when I get out of work, and then they'll go under there.

Our plan right now is to wrap the presents from us to each other and to DS, and then Santa's gifts will be in front of the TV and probably unwrapped. It'll just be however much time Santa has in his workshop!!

I remember my boys being more interested in the boxes things came in, than in the toys. I remember looking at DH ans saying I could have saved money by just getting big boxes for them to crawl/climb in :lmao:

:goodvibes A baby at Christmas...so much fun though!

Right now, we have 3 under the tree.....2 are DS5's gift exchange gifts for tomorrow, and one is my work exchange gift. We sometimes put our gifts for our parents and others under the tree, sometimes we don't.

My mom used to put hers all under the tree a couple weeks before Christmas to drive us crazy. They didn't have names on them, she would come up with a different system every year so we wouldn't know whose gifts they were. One year, I had the odd #'s 9 & under, my twin brother was the even #s single digits, and anything double digit was our younger brother. One year, one of us had all the mainly green paper, one red, one something else, etc.

I have about 85% of my presents wrapped, but nothing under the tree. All of the presents are in big boxes, sorted by where they're going (my mom's house, my in-law's, etc.). We just have way too many people we have to buy for to just put them all under the tree. Santa's presents don't arrive until the kids have gone to bed on Christmas Eve. Same thing for the presents for DH and me.

Presents go under the tree sometime late Christmas Eve and early Christmas morning. One year they almost didn't make it. DD was up most of the night trying to catch Santa. Thank goodness that was the year I was puppysitting my DBs two rottweilers. The biggest one woke me up around 5:00 am woofing directly into my ear. Santa delivered that year! You never saw me move so fast. :rotfl2:
