getting to IOA from a disney hotel

Can anyone help me??

What is the best way to get to universal from a disney hotel.
Ive used Mears in the past and did'nt like it AT ALL.
Has anyone used a taxi and know how much it would cost??

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS??

Are you going 1 way and staying at IOA for the rest of your trip?
Or are you going back to your Disney hotel later that night?

You could use the www.golynx.com bus system if you really wanna save money. The route takes you to SWF first, then onto USF. Here's a cut and paste of the message.

"At the TTC, board link #50 at 8:48 a.m. . Deposit $1.25 (exact) for each fare and ask for transfers. Arrive SeaWorld at 9:09 a.m. . Transfer to link #8 departing SeaWorld at 9:23 a.m. . Arrive intersection of International Dr/Kirkman Rd. at 9:44 a.m. . Transfer to link #37 northbound on Kirkman Rd. at 9:48 a.m. . Arrive Universal at 9:57 a.m."

If you're only going for 1 day, and not staying at USF, then go with FL Tours since they advertise here. I think the dude even comes in here with advice on his service.

During our trip last Sept we stayed at YC for 7 nights then on to RPR for 2 nights. We used FL tours to pick us up and return us to the airport--$90 we had a van for the 7 of us including 2 car seats at no additional charge. We also used FL tours to take us from YC to RPR--$30 for a one way trip again 2 carseats included.

A town car seems to be the best alternative

Thanks for the info. I didnt think of a town car at first. Does anyone know what the protocol is for getting back to hotel??

Do you have to set a specific time when making reservation or when you are dropped off??

We had specific times to be picked up. If you just going for a day at the park then back to Disney you might ask Andy how to best arrange for a pickup. If your going round trip you might also think about renting a car for a day at $30 or $40 it would be cheaper than the round trip with a towncar--which I would say is going to run you $60 to $70. There is probably a drop off place at US/IOA for people catching cabs and such and at the hotel they pick you up right at the front.
