We're not renting a car, but our teenage daughter really wants to try In-N-Out. I looked it up and realize it's not too terribly far from Disneyland, so I'm wondering if a taxi would be a good option, what it might cost and what kind of tip is customary. In my area of the country public transportation is virtually non-existent, so I don't have a ton of experience with it outside of vacations.

To get to In N Out by taxi would be around $10-$12 each way, plus whatever you'd want to tip the cabbie.

You can also take the 460 bus from out in front of Disneyland to In N Out; it goes right by there. It takes about 20 minutes one way on the bus. If you've not dealt with public transportation before, it may be a bit overwhelming as it's not a resort bus but a city bus. Cost is about $2.50 per adult one way.

I've no idea if the ART bus goes by there; maybe someone else who does know can chime in?
