I was quoted a price of $100 for a pick up from Polynesian to Hard Rock, then Hard Rock to the Airport (basically $50 each way)...does this seem reasonable? I'm Canadian so I have no idea what a good price would be...and with the exchange rate don't want to be ripped off. Thank you!

Yes, that is about right. For us Canadians, everything is so much more expensive! In December we used a private car service and that was the rate we paid. We also added a tip for each leg ($10). It's nice having someone take us places instead of renting a car.

Well...an Uber would be about $15-20 for each of those legs. If you're interested in saving money, it's the way to go.

oh wow....okay, I've never used UBER...you need an app right? just not sure if I can get the US app using my cell phone from canada....I thought I read someone saying they couldn't...

I'd do some investigating on the Uber site. I was in Canada this summer and could get my app to work fine. And I know folks from the U.K. That have successful used the Uber app here as well. Poke around. You can often find promo codes that will take $10-20 off your first ride as well.

Yes, I was able to use the Uber app, I downloaded while I was there. The only reason I didn't use them to the airport is because I didn't know if their vehicles could handle all our luggage. You would have to request UberXL. We are 5 people and we tend to bring way too much! I liked knowing the person we hired was able to accommodate us and our luggage. We used uber to go shopping and to try different restaurants in the area. Far cheaper than getting a regular cab. RPR to Walmart was $5.16!
I have Wind Mobile and all I had to do was add on American roaming for $15 a month and could use my phone whenever I needed.
