Getting to Hoop De Doo

OK guys Help. 7 of us have to get from AKL to Hoop De Doo Nov 6, with a pit stop after to watch Wishes at MK and then back to AKL. We have a minivan. WDW today guys say always drive yourself resort to resort if possible AND always leave your car at your last stop. But you can't drive to MK right, gotta park at the TTC. So if I drive it's 3 steps to get there: Drive AKL to TTC, Boat or Monorail to MK, Boat to Ft. Wilderness. Then home (after boat to MK and Wishes) it's 2 steps: Monorail to TTC and then Drive back to AKL. BUT if I take Dis transportation It's 2 steps there - bus to MK, boat to Ft. Wilderness, 1 step home - bus to AKL. Am I better off NOT driving in this case? Also can you get a bus from the TTC straight to other resorts? Even if I CAN do that I have to take another internal Ft. Wilderness bus to get to Hoop De. This is like one of those epic 8th grade story problems right? If a fox is at AKL and a chicken sits on the porch of the Hoop De Doo Review, how long will it take the fox to eat the chicken assuming the fox travels by jet-pack, there's a north easterly wind, Snow is on the forcast and it's Sunday.....

Hi,

There are no Disney buses from the TTC to the Disney resorts.

If you were willing to skip wishes then you could drive to Ft Wilderness, get the internal bus to the Revue and then drive back but if you want to see wishes ,then disney transport would probably be easier .

Could you just take the bus from AKL to MK?

Depart bus, hop on boat to go to the Fort - never tried the bus there but the boat dock is a short walk away from Hoop Dee Doo. Aftewards, just boat back to MK then bus back to AKL. I don't *love* the busses, but I think it actually might be the most efficient way to travel in this case.

Be forewarned, the boat ride to Ft. Wilderness is actually a bit longer than I anticipated. Not long by any stretch, but a solid 10-15 minutes if I had to guess. Just make sure you account for the duration of the ride when you figure your transportation times.

ETA: Sorry, my reading skills must be rusty. I would say NOT to drive in this case - so long as you leave yourself plenty of time from place to place, I think the bus/boat strategy would the one I would choose.

This is what I would do. Take the bus from AKL to MK. The boat launch is right by where the buses drop off. Catch the boat to Ft. Wilderness. After the Hoop Dee Do catch the boat back to The MK to watch Wishes. Then after wishes catch the bus back to AKL.

When we do MK and teh hoop we do the following

1. We leave our resort and take the bus to MK
2. Get off the bus and take a nice boat ride to fort wilderness
3. Enjoy the show
4. Take the boat back to the MK
5. Enjoy the MK
6. Take the bus back to our resort.

We always travel Christmas week and it works fine.

I would personally never bother with a car at WDW. I love th bus system. I love the front door service.

I would suggest leaving AK around 2:30 since I believe they want you to check in about 15 minutes early for HDDR. When you get to FW from AK, the bus will let you out at the front bus stop of the resort. You will need to then get on one of the internal buses that will take you through the resort to the stop at Pioneer Hall.

Personally I would be to take the Wilderness Lodge bus form Animal Kingdom and then take the boat from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness.

The Fort Wilderness dock is just a couple of minutes walk from Pioneer Hall(home of The Hoop).

I think WL and FW may share a bus or one of the FW internal buses goes to WL so I'm pretty sure this is the one instance where there is resort to resort transportation.

AK = Animal Kingdom - Yes to WL

Yes you can drive.

The only thing different about FW over other WDW Resorts is that you will have to park at the front of the resort and take a short internal bus back to where HDDR is.

You would then drive to Epcot from there after the show and the drive back to CSR after Epcot.

You could take the bus to the MK, take a boat to FW, walk to HDDR, then take the internal bus to the FW bus stop, take the bus to Epcot and then take the CSR bus home.

I hate to drive while on vacation so I would make an adventure out of it and take the bus to MK and then boat ot Fort Wilderness, then boat back to MK and take monorail to Epcot, then bus back to your hotel. It will definitely take you longer but its always fun taking the boats and the monorail.(especially to Epcot)

We are renting a car and driving, sorry! FT wilderness is only 10 mins from our hotel and much less headache for me having our car, but thank you!
