I will be taking a tour which starts at 9am at Epcot, but I will also be staying at Boardwalk then. I know you have to get to the front 15 minutes early, and no buses go from BW to front of Epcot. Does anyone know if I go to Guest Services or Concierge the day before, if I can set up a CM "escort" from IG to the front, or will I need to take an Uber over there? It would be just me, no larger group.

International Gateway will let you in in time for the early appointment.
(No escort needed.)

The IG is the actual ENTRANCE GATE for guests staying at the Epcot resorts.
It is open in sync with the front gates to allow admittance (via walking past UK and Canada)
to Future World at park opening (and before, for early appointments.)

Guests can even head to "France" in the mornings as a pastry shop there is open every day for breakfast.

You should arrive at the IG 20 min., or so, before you want to be at your early appointment.

Ok, awesome thanks! After posting this I was even thinking they must let people in early for PPO breakfasts and whatnot...

I am so glad I found this thread! I was planning to go from the Beach or Yacht Club through Epcot to get to the MK monorail, and wondered if I had to wait for the later opening time.

You will need to wait till usual 9:00 a.m. park opening to walk from IG to monorail, unless there is an early opening or have early breakfast reservations at Epcot that morning.

Only Guests with dining/Tour reservations will be allowed into Epcot before the posted opening time. It will be faster to get to Magic Kingdom by bus than using the Monorail.
