Getting to DTD

I was wondering do you have to go thru security to get to DTD? We are staying at Park Vu and plan on visiting there on our first night. Can we just walk between the parks and head to there? TIA

You will go through security twice. There is one station on each side of the parks. It never takes very long though.

Well, when you go into the esplanade, security will check your bags, when you leave the esplanade, you exit the esplanade they do not check your bags.

When the parks have closed, generally, the security tents are not manned, so they do not check you bags after hours.

Also if you park in DTD, or if you enter DTD through DL Drive, there are not security tents at those locations.

To answer your second question. Yes it is simple as that. You just go under the welcome sign near Harbor drive and walk strait between the gates to DL and DCA and on the other side DTD begins.
