Our son is Autistic and we have flown Southwest on our last 2 trips and loved them. They allowed us to board early with him the pilot was boarding at the same time and asked me if he liked flying, I said yes he loves to sit by the window. He came out to see if my son was sitting by the window before takeoff and gave us a smile and a thumbs up! We love Southwest!

Thanks for the info! The last time my son flew was when he was 5 (he will be 10 on our next trip) and he is actually a little nervous about flying...although I don't blame him bc I need to take valium just to get on the darn plane, LOL...my youngest son who will be 3 on our next trip I have a feeling he is on the spectrum as well bc of little details that I have picked up from my older son, but we haven't had him formally tested yet. Anyways Jetblue also allows you to board early and also have disability seating that gives you more space if need be. I am also a plus size mama so I need a plane with good size seats or seatbelt extenders or something...all of which JetBlue has. I haven't done much research on SW, but I have heard good things about them, so I will do some more research about them tomorrow.
