Getting to Daytona beach from walt disney world?

Is there anyway to get to Daytona beach from WDW resorts without having to rent a car? Me and my girlfriend are flying in so we wont have a car with us but it would be fun to go to the beach for a day. Thanks.

I don't think there's a good way w/o a car, but you could always rent one just for the day- I believe there's a rental desk at either the Swan or the Dolphin. Once you have a car, it's a straight shot (maybe an hour?) on I-4.

We will be staying at the Regal Sun, is there a rental car place around there that you know of? or should be just go over to the dolphin?

Not that I know of personally, but hopefully someone will be along shortly that might know. I've only been a couple times, and have usually stayed on-site. (The only exception to that was in college, but we drove down at that point so we had my car to go to the beach).

Your best bet is to call the Regal Sun and ask them. They probably have some sort of arrangement with car rental companies -- either rentals from the main office / lobby or discounts / plans for guests.

There is an Avis desk in RSR.

It is approximately 65 miles on I-4 to the intersection with I-95 near Daytona Beach. Taxi or Limo would be about $150 each way (plus tip).
