We are flying in the day before and flying out the day after

How do we get to and from:

Would like to do a limo, but what is the cost

Are there taxi's available to get us from our hotel to port, do not want to wait on shuttle

thanks again!

Taxi's will be cost prohibitive due to the distance to the port from MCO. It is about 45-50 minutes travel time. It is a very easy drive and well marked. check out this link for directions.

There are many van and limo services available. Some recommended here are Tiffany Town Car, Florida Tours, Art's Shuttle, Happy Limo. All of these have website so just do a google search and you should find them.

You can also the rental car thing...which we do all the time. It is great. We do 2 one-way rentals...pick up at MCO and drop off in Cocoa Beach, and then another on the return picked up from Cocoa Beach and dropped off at MCO.

Not sure where you staying the day before and after....near the airport, near WDW or near the port?

We're using Tiffany Towncar and getting a stretch limo to pick us up at the airport and take us to the Radisson at Port Canaveral the day before the cruise. The day we get off the ship the limo will pick us up and take us to the Polynesian resort. Then the next day when we need to get back to the airport to fly home, the limo will be picking us up then, too. We're a party of 4; DSs are 16 and 13 and are taller than DH and I, so we need the leg room, and DH prefers to travel comfortably. The price of the limo for the 3 legs of the trip is $462, but that INCLUDES the 20% tip. We've used Tiffany Towncar's limo twice before and they were on time and courteous. They even have a coupon their web site for $5 off, and a coupon in the Passporter Guidebook.

We've always rented a car each way. Several companies do this (Budget, Avis, and Hertz primarily). There are also DCL transfers (You can buy these one way or round trip, from either WDW or the airport). Towncar/limo service is the last primary option.

Only you can decide what works best for your family. Price tradeoffs will vary based on how many people you have, what your plans before and after the cruise are, etc. Rental cars give you the freedom to go anywhere you want, and stop as many times as you want. Car Services will usually do one stop for you. DCL transfers are to/from the port only.

We used Art's Shuttle from the airport-cocoa beach. It was $55 one way for the 3 of us.

We used H & M Taxi service. Call them the day before and in the morning to remind them.

We got a one way rental from MCO to Cocoa Beach from Budget with taxes and fees for $28.88 for a full size plus a coupon for a free upgrade to a premium if they have one available. My entire family is going with us and the rental car gave us lots more flexibility than the transfers or even limo. We ended up renting 4 or 5 cars at 28.88 each (we too, are arriving the day before) and each car will have 3-4 people so Disney would have cost us about $400 but the cars are only costing us about $150 and we can get supplies when we get there (such as a case of beer or bottled water) so we don't have to fly it there or get a taxi to go to the store. Keep checking around, there are GREAT deals to be had for rental cars but you have to be willing to shop. A word to the wise, if you see something you like, book it if there are no penalties for cancellation. Then if you find something better you can cancel the old one. Otherwise, you may find that bargain is no longer available if you don't get it while you can.
