getting to Boatswright by boat?

I read you could take a boat from POFQ to POR Boatswright, is this true? How does it work and does it save anytime?

We just returned yesterday. We stayed at POR. The boats start running everyday - I believe around 10:00 or 10:30 a.m. During the day the boats do not run as frequently as they do starting around 5:00 p.m. They run from POR to FQ then to downtown disney and on the return trip it stops at FQ first then to Riverside. It takes 15-20 minutes from downtown to FQ then another 5 once you depart FQ to Riverside.

Most of the Captains are great. One of the boats we were on was VERY loud. You could barely hear the person beside you speak Though I have to add the other boats were not real quite either - just better than the first one we took. I wish they could find some way to put a sound barrier around the motor so it was not so loud. We did notice that the boat went just as fast when the captain would throttle back then when they had it at full throttle - I guess they never noticed it or just liked the extra noise.

Last October we stayed at POFQ and would sometimes take the boat up to POR. If you happen to catch the boat when it's coming in, then I think you could save some time over walking there. But if you just missed it, it could be a while before there's another one. As the other poster said, they don't run as frequently during the day as they do at night.

We did probably take the boat 3 - 4 times from FQ to POR to eat, then back again.
