Getting to AKV from Grand Floridian

We will be at the Grand Floridian to watch the fireworks on July 4th. From what I'm reading, MK is very busy that night so I'm trying to figure out the best way for us to get back to AKV after watching Wishes. If we take the bus from the Grand Floridian to Animal Kingdom, can we walk from Animal Kingdom to AKV. We have never stayed at AKV before so I'm not sure how far it is.

You cannot walk from AK to AKL/AKV (to actually physically do so you would need to walk on busy streets -- and I mean on them since there are no sidewalks -- or through woods and across the savanna where you can be eaten by lions) . Moreover AK will be closed long before Wishes ends and there will be no busses going to it. Only logical route to AKL after Wishes for you is bus at MK (or get a taxi at GF).

Another thought is to take a bus from the Grand Floridian to Downtown Disney and transfer to an Animal Kingdom Resort bus. That would save on the monorail trip and avoid the busy bus stop at the Magic Kingdom after the fireworks.

Use cab from any MK resort would be best option.

That late at night, there won't be any buses to the AK because it will be long closed by then.

Take a cab from the GF. They may be looking at Room IDs at the GF and Polynesian to make sure only the guests of those resorts are there.

In the past, the fireworks have been displayed on the 3rd too. I don't know if that would make planning easier for you. I always like to view fireworks at DHS on the rare nights they have them. (In the past 4th of July, and NYE). Of course with cutbacks, I don't know if there will be these extra displays.

I would second taking a taxi. It is an extra expense, but one or two well selected taxi rides during the week can save you time and make things much more peaceful.
