Getting through to Member Services

Are people having luck getting through to Member services. This morning I called a dozen times and I didn’t even get put on hold. While planning my April trip my usual wait time was around an hour but I have never been hung up on after putting in all the prompts. Any times that are better times to call.

Well, I haven't had to call this year, but there are times, when the lines were overwhelmed several years ago, that I've been disconnected after the prompts. DVC needs to upgrade their internal phone system and hopefully re-hire/re-staff their call center whenever the pandemic dies down. Right now, cases are increasing, again, so it may be a while. One of the problems is, it seems the entire Disney phone system is integrated, likely nationwide for both coasts, that's a LOT of phone extensions. My cousin works for a company that does govt travel. They've been working from home with the pandemic. Their phone system is constantly disconnecting, so it isn't just Disney. It seems connecting home/cell lines for representatives has severely overtaxed the system.

I haven't tried to call today but it has been very difficult to get through. The DVC website is currently down too.

It’s a daily problem. I feel bad for people who have to call.

I have had to call twice in the past 2 weeks. Both times I was fortunate to get through on the first attempts after being 55 minutes on hold. I even had chat pop up on the website before I tried call #2 before being directed to call with my inquiry. Certainly is luck of the draw.

You should expect a wait no matter what, but I think it’s better later in the day. I have called twice in the last couple of weeks and both times I called in the early afternoon PT. My wait was less than an hour both times. Not great, but less than the 2+ hours people have had to wait.
