Does anyone find their older kids are getting bored with repeated trips to disney? I absolutely love disney - everything about it and would go over and over and over and never be bored. The kids are all about thrill rides right now and after having been down to florida 4 previous times they seem not all that excited to be thinking about going back. Even Universal is old hat to them. All they care about is bigger, faster and scarier rides. I hate the traditional amusement parks - no magic at all in them, you know? How do I respark the magic in my teens?

Sorry, no advise but I misery loves company and you are here for me and I'm here for you
My dd, who is almost 14 sounds just like your children. We are brining her friend with us on November 25 and her friend has never been. The bff is VERY excited and although again I don't have advise for you, I can say I have had MUCH fun talking and planning and getting very excited with my dd's BFF
They asked to have matching tshirts made up (which of course I did) and I have been buying things for a Disney basket for about a year...not for my kids but for my dd's bff LOL They also want to get tiaras, that is something my dd would NEVER do without a friend along.
So sorry to bore you with above but I am excited I get to share the magic with someone if it can't be my kids :confused3

my DS's are 9 and 13 and have been many times. One thing I do every year is find new things to do....things we don't usually do. We go at different times of the year so that things are not the same (Easter, 4th of July, St. Patrick's Day, Marathon weekend etc). We have also surprised them twice with a trip. This last July we surprised them and surprised them with another family going (they have kids the same age and go all of the time also). We change up where we stay.

I always try to find new things. One time I got a book and read everything about Epcot. I made a list of foods that we had never tried and we ate our way through. We usually don't do the "rides" in Epcot but we did one trip. We have gone on a fireworks cruise, miniature golfing, hoop-de-doo revue and went to the stables etc. Sometimes my boys like just hanging out at the hotels in the community rooms.

Sorry this is so long. Even if you think you know everything about Disney I recommend getting a Disney guidebook out of the library and finding things that you have never done. Bringing the friend will also help:wizard:
