Getting the disability pass

1st I can't remember the exact name so someone correct me please

My son is two with autism and I know that the pass will be a big help, I read on allears that they need a note from the dr, my question is what type of note is this- we have a ton of diagnosis explanation papers but would this be good enough or should I go to his pediatrician to write a note and if so what should it say? Also are they going to look at the date to see if it is recent, I mean I don't think they should be because ASD is not the common cold that comes and goes but I just want to be totally prepared.

You actually do NOT need a note and even if you bring one, the CM will probably not look at it.

It is called a Guest Assistance Card (GAC).
Just be prepared to expain to Guest Services what your child's needs are. For example, for a two year old you may need to be able to bring his stroller into the lines with you.

You do not need a note from the doctor unless you want to bring one. Some people feel more confident asking for a Guest Assistance Card if they have a letter for invisible disabilities. You don't need one and the CM may not even want to see it, but it is your choice of whether you bring one.
If you choose to bring one, it should talk about your child's needs rather than his diagnosis.
