Oh my goodness ... can't wait. We are all terribly excited and will be landing exactly now in one week's time (imagine general excitement and squeaking).
It is great to be writing down our itinery down as it makes it seem so much more real. My DD is getting so excited and she even spoke to my DH saying that she was looking forward to trying all sorts of different food while we were there. Very cute
I'm pretty sure our array of ADRs in the last week will ensure that her desire to try out different cuisines will be sated. Here we go:
Tues 16th: Our second Seaworld day - no particular plans while we are there. Breakfast ADR Kouzzinas (I'm a bit of an Iron Chef nut)
Wed 17th: Epcot day 2 - woo!! Dinner ADR at Biergarten. Really looking forward to this one - we recently looked at our ADR list and bemoaned the fact that this was quite so late in our stay. Last visit we loved everything about it. DH was particularly fond of the beer flight
I just love the atmosphere and the food. DD is a sausage fanatic so her and the German pavillion will be best buddies in no time
Thu 18th: Hollywood Studios day 2. Again no specific plans except lunch ADR at Mama Melrose. Have no experience of dining at Hollywood Studios so any opinions would be appreciated
Fri 19th: Day Off (which probably means more shopping, but don't tell my DH
) Breakfast ADR at Whispering Canyon and Dinner ADR at California Grill (really looking forward to this)
Sat 20th: Epcot day 3 (did I mention we love Epcot??!) Dinner ADR at Garden Grill - DD is a big fan of Chip and Dale and will hopefully meet them without the tension of last time. On our 2010 trip to DLRP we were surprised at the difference between the character meet and greet organisation in comparison to WDW; rather than the organised, supervised line it was more of a brawl as to who would be seen first and there were very few cast members supervising. We had a fab experience with Chip (we specifically went to meet him as DD has a cuddly toy of him). DD was standing very very patiently as the scrum surrounded Chip - we're pretty firm in terms of manners etc and to be fair Chip was doing as good a job as he could to ensure people were greeted in order and fairly - much like a barman. Well, DD was very small and older children were pushing in and DH and I got the feeling that Chip had realised this and was getting frustrated about it. And then this happened involving one particular boy (possibly 8/9 years of age):
Step 1: The boy kept pushing and pushing and Chip had to keep ignoring.
Step 2: The boy came back and then started poking Chip (I honestly couldn't believe my eyes and was looking round for his parents) - Chip was clearly getting even more annoyed.
Step 3: The boy came over and began punching Chip - I mean really laying into him.
Step 4: Chip grabbed the boy with his hand firmly on his forehead and pushed him all the way through the crowd - BRILLIANT - I certainly cheered! It was hillarious - I only felt sorry for poor Chip - I'm pretty sure that 'abuse from small children' is not in the job description.
It was fab once it was resolved although the poor cast member was clearly somewhat agitated - my DD finally handed over her autograph book and Chip grasped it and the pen and signed DALE - he then clapped his hand/paw over his mouth, pointed up the hill to where Dale really was - mouthed oops - turned the page and gave her the correct signature - just as well she couldn't read
Sun 21st: Animal Kingdom day 2 - no specific plans but epic in terms of dining. Breakfast ADR at Boma and then (more squeaking alert) Dinner at Jiko
Mon 22nd: TL or BB - much swimming required. And perhaps a tad more shopping...who knows...???? Dinner ADR at Flying Fish (possibly my most anticipated ADR)
Tue 23rd: Final (sob) MK day. Lunch ADR at Crystal Palace - love the characters - the only restaurant that DD specifically requested - couldn't believe she'd remembered it from last time - a bit of a 'must do'
Wed 24th: Let's not think about it
There we go. Our amazing hol at WL. It's getting so close - the stickers in DD's countdown to holiday Disney book are nearly run out so it must be real! Thanks for letting me write down my pre-trip thoughts - just imagine the drivel I'll be able to spout come the time to write the actual trip report
CAN'T WAIT!!!!
