Getting something to-go

Has anyone had experience with getting a dessert to-go from a TS restaurant without reservations or a meal there? I'm hearing that LTT lunch can be hard to get lately (make my ADRs in the morning) and was curious if it were even possible to get the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake in case I'm not able to get a reservation.

Unfortunately, I've heard that it's usually impossible to get anything to go at a TS restaurant without a reservation. That's because the restaurant kitchens can handle just so much, and it's usually busy enough with the reservations. Of course, there's a possibility that you'll get a very accommodating restaurant and a lot of "no shows" for reservations, meaning they have time. I agree-I'd love to have some Ooey Gooey Toffee cake to go.

As noted, the WDW TS restaurants really aren't set up to handle to-go orders. However, it sounds as if you are making your reservations right at the 180 day mark. You should be able to get a LTT lunch reservation without too much trouble. If you can't, use the touringplans.com reservation finder. I've been trying to get an ADR at Beaches and Cream for September. My DD told me she wanted to eat there a couple months after our ADRs were set so I was trying to find an ADR that would work without having to move a bunch of other ADRs around. I set up a request with the reservation finder and was notified twice when ADRs were available. The first one was at a less preferred time so I booked it but reset the reservation finder to find a better time. Sure enough, about a week later, I got a notice and was able to snag an ADR that worked better for us.

You just walk up to BC and order. That joint is tiny.

No, we need an ADR. DD wants to eat lunch there, not just get ice cream. You can only walk up and order a very limited amount of ice cream options. And yes, the place is tiny, which is why I was so pleased the reservation finder was able to alert me to available ADRs.

You'd need an ADR, be seated and served. Then ask for your food to be put into a container. Which would defeat your purpose.

LTT lunch booked the entire week

I think it is possible the times just haven't been loaded yet. It just seems odd to me because LTT usually isn't that difficult to get at 180 days out, even for lunch. I was playing around in the ADR system and found I was getting multiple lunch times available on multiple dates in October and from November 1st until November 4th. Then starting November 5th, there were no times coming up available. This seems more like a glitch in the system than LTT really being booked up.
