Hey everyone. i have a question, has anyone ever felt like they had a headache after the Mummy ride? how about the hulk or duelling dragons?

Last year when I came off The Mummy I was really tired and had a headache for the rest of the day from it. Has anyone ever experienced that?

thanks!

No, I rode Mummy for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had no problems other than it scared the heck out of me the first time, but then I rode it again and had a blast! :)

I felt kinda sick after I got off of Dueling Dragons - we rode Fire this past July and I was a little dizzy and had a little nausea. I had read that it was good to take nausea meds if you thought it would make you sick so I took 2 about a hour before I got on it. I have never been sick on a roller coaster before but something about Dueling Dragons made me take Dramine! Then I got so sleepy, I found a bench in the corner and sat down while my hubby and son went in Posideons. I was fine after that, but I could not believe I went to sleep in the middle of the day at Universal. They came out and laughed at me - they still laugh about it.

The Mummy was great and no nausea. I also loved the Hulk and no nausea! :cool1:

Hulk makes me dizzy for a few minutes afterwords, but no headaches...it all depends on the person, also depends on when you've eaten last

It may have something to do with the fact that the DD is a tighter turning coaster which puts a little different and maybe harsher G forces on you. I personally don't like these type of coasters as much for the more tight, hard twists and turns there are, the less I like it. I like rides that are fast and smooth and tall and striaght. I like the Mummy for its mainly fast, with no hard G turns in my opinion. The Hulk is kinda in between but I love to ride it because of that first shoot up the lift feeling, I love that, same with the Mummy. Acceleration is where its at.

Any chance you may have been a little dehydrated? The Florida sun is really, really good at sucking the life out of you without you noticing it. I've felt negative side effects due to not drinking enough water even in December. You just don't realize it's happening until it's too late.

I found the Mummy to be very tame and sort of overated as a coaster. The theming was fun, but the ride was underwhelming.

I know when I rode the Mummy last summer, and I rode it several times, a few times, my head jerked violently when we went backwards and came to the sudden stop. My neck and head hurt for a minute or two, but then was fine. Perhaps that triggered something in your head. No problems on DD, didn't ride Hulk. :confused3

During and after Hulk and Dueling Dragons, I had a headache and felt a bit dizzy. I figured that it may have been the G forces. However, I did not have any problems on Disney's Rock 'n Rollercoaster, which also goes upside down and pulls some Gs. I wonder if that has to do with the fact that the Disney ride is indoors and the other two are outdoors? I also did not have problems on Mummy.

A few years ago DH and I rode Hulk twice in a row. We then rode SpiderMan and on to Dueling Dragons. I've never had a reaction in the past. After getting off the last ride, I could hardly walk and had a headache. It lasted until after we sat down for awhile and we ate.

The rest of the day was fine.

We went on the Disney Cruise the next day and I had ear pain when we went on a "Walk on the Ocean floor" in Nassau. Not a deep dive by any means.

After returning home, I had that feeling of not regaining my land legs.
I went to the Doctor. It turned out I had an ear infection the whole time.

Maybe you had something like that.

Disneyfreakk - I did not know about blood pressure. Is it dangerous or just uncomfortable? Do you experience problems if your blood pressure is high or low or either?

This getting older thing is scarey. Guess we'll go in for checkups before our December trip.
