Getting seated early for Garden Grill PPO?

We currently have an 8:30 res for Garden Grill on a 9am park open date. We have a search set up on TP for something earlier, but we're only two weeks out so I'm not holding my breath. If we show up right at 7:45, what's the likelihood we can get seated before our res?

You do not need an earlier adr. Arrive by 7:30 at the gate to enter with the rest. PPO Adrs are seated in order of checking

Really? Is that at all the parks? Ive never heard of such a thing, but Ive never tried. Usually at my real ADR time, there is a short wait at most TS restaurants....but maybe thats because people with a later ADR arrived early!

I have no idea why you have a wait, but I can tell you that the restaurants that have PPO breakfasts want to seat folks and get moving, so that first push is not in the order of ADR. We always get the earliest ADR we can and arrive at 7:30 to be let in at about 7:45 and then head straight to the restaurnat to check in. I have not had breakfast at TUsker House in years, and never at H&V, however in MK and Epcot I know this is the case.

We have had the same experience at Tusker House and H&V as well. As soon as they're ready to start seating people, they start calling people in. At that point, they're just going in order of the tickets which is the order people checked in. I don't think they're even looking at actual ADR times.

Question about Garden Grill PPO:

Can we enter via the IG before park opening to get to Garden Grill or do we need to go to the main entrance?

We will be staying at Pop and were wanting to take the gondolas to Epcot and wasn’t sure if it was possible with a PPO reservation.

We had a later ADR PPO ADR at GG last trip and were the 2nd table seated, pretty much as soon as we got to the counter. We asked for the check when they took our drink order. My kids were the first ones on Soarin' that morning.
