Getting Rid of Smoke Smell

I have a new cube neighbor at work and he smokes. Whenever he comes back in from smoking it is all I can smell and it is really starting to bother me. Any suggestions for what can help with the smell (other than asking him to stop)

Get a fabreeze plug-in for your cube-area.

Are you really considering asking your cube neighbor not so smoke? That ought to go over well.

I work with a couple of smokers, I am a former smoker - me not say a word.

That said, you could perhaps ask him to wash his hands, I know when I smoked, I always washed my hands and it seemed to help. I always smoked outside, never in my car or my home so my clothes did not reek. Both my coworkers smoke everywhere and they reek.

I also think different brands smell differently. My Aunt smokes and when I visit her I never smell it when she comes in but one of the girls here the smell is really strong, they smoke different brands.

I have thought about it and if he worked in my dept I would say something since we are a pretty close group, but he works for another team and I would feel pretty rude saying something since he does have every right to go outside and smoke. The girl on the other side of me smokes as well and I NEVER smell it after she has one.

I swear between him and the girl who uses hand santizer 10,000 times a day I leave work with a buring sensation in my nose.

I quit smoking last October and I have that problem with smelling it on others now all the time, it drives me crazy and I have been driving my DS crazy too telling him to quit. Haven't tried that on anyone else but I doubt that would work, when you smoke yourself you don't realize how bad you smell. Maybe have a can of air freshner for the times the odor is just over powering. Then if he says something about your spraying air freshner you can come back with when you stop smoking.
