Hi everyone. :surfweb:

Just signed up and posting one of my first tread. :)

Well, here it is, the count down is almost over. By tomorrow at 3pm we should be in WDW, staying for the first time at the BCV for a week. :bounce:

Only one thing stands within the way of making it happen. Tonight thru tomorrow morning, the east coast is getting its first great storm for the winter. I'm hoping that it stays south so that we can fly out of Albany, NY.

Keep your fingers crossed! Hopefully everything will be to our favor.

Well I'll let you all know how things went when we get back.

Best of Luck... keeping our fingers crossed that the storm stays south too. Already sick of winter!

BTW doing my single digit dance! :cool1:

Hopefully it won't be as bad as predicted. We're in MD and nothing heavy has started as of 2:00 pm. Give us a report the the BCV and have a great trip.

Have a great time ~ you will find many reasons to love the Beach Club! I am looking out my window at the snow and smiling at the thought that in 4 more days I'll be headed to WDW for our first stay at SSR! :sunny:

Have fun!

Others may be more definite about the exact method for doing so, but I would call the resort if my flight is delayed by any bit. Let them know that we're on our way after a minor delay, or whatever!

We're too inland to be getting much from the storm. My DSis in Haddonfield NJ said that it just has begun to snow there, around 3PM Saturday.

I'm in the same boat as you. My flight is supposed to leave tomorrow at 6:45 AM. At this point, I have no idea if and when I will actually leave. I'm hoping for the best.

I'll be so relieved once I'm there.

I'm flying out tomorrow too but I am in a much better location for not getting snowed in. Unless my flight is stuck somewhere east. Good luck to all!

I think the people flying out of Albany made it out just fine. No delays to speak of, storm stayed to the south. Now those poor souls in NYC........ :confused3

My wife and dd flew out of Albany to Orlando this morning. They even arrived early. Tomorrow should be fine.

Have a great trip and welcome to the Dis_boards.

Hello everyone, sorry for taking so long of replying back, its a long story.

Well here it goes. :scratchin

We were able to fly out of Albany, without any problems from that Sunday storm on the east coast. BUT!!! when we got to Disney, we thought that we were still in New York, for the temperature was only in the low/mid 40's. By Wednesday the temp started to come up enough so that I allowed the boys to go to the pool that day. It was a good thing that we still had our winter coats with us, for the first two nights.

The stay at the Beach Club Villas was wonderful, you could not ask for more. My parents, that are in their 60's, could not believe the rooms and how big they were. Of course this is also the first time for my parents at Disney, for I feel its pay back time to them for raising me, with all the trouble I use to get into.

The meals at the BC Cape May was great, along with many of the other places we stopped at (Tony's MK; Whipser Canyon WL, to name just a few). My father even commented when we got back that we ate too much, and that his pants were fitting tighter. My nephew could not get over the size of WD, he stated its cities within cities. I said when he got back home, for his school essay report, he was going to write about all that we did.

I have to say, My parents were impressed, with everthing. From start to the finish (the Magic Express, mom was worry about our luggage, but I kept trying to put her at ease, but when the bags showed up, she stopped worrying and started enjoying) . They just could not get over how easy everything was. They at the end, really didn't want to leave, but, well you know how it goes.

BUT!!! Again when we came back, we had the misfortune of coming back to no electricity for three days, with temperatures in the low teens. We survived the major wide spread outage from a freak cold front with high winds, and now can not wait for the next trip back.

The wife asked me, as to how soon can we go back. :thumbsup2
Hopeful really soon!!!!

Well, I could write pages upon pages, but we all know, its the best place to be at.

Until the next one.
