I was wondering where the other disney brides got dressed and "prepped" before the wedding.
Do brides usually get dressed in the Bridal Suite at the WP if they are getting married there?
Also, in terms of makeup and hair...do WP brides have that done in room or in bridal suite?

Thanks!!

i got dressed in my room. hair and makeup came to my room. so, needless to say, i get dressed and ready in my room. the only prepping i did at the bridal suite in the WP was use the bathroom.

I was concerned with getting over to the WP once I am dressed. How did you get there? walk, drive? Also, it is going to be so hot in July I was thining of avoiding outside as much as possible :sunny:

I don't think you're actually allowed to use the room inside the wedding pavillion for more than just a last-minute touchup.

Brides usually get dressed in their rooms (take a limo or towncar over)... or in a room in the convention center (and you still probably need a limo or towncar or some other form of transportation). They can't guarantee you a getting-ready room until close to your date.

The room at the WP is very small. Not really the best location anyway to be getting ready in. We'll be prepping in our hotel room at the Boardwalk, then a limo to the GF for pics and then over to the WP.

I got ready in the brides room with my MOH, we were find on space. We both had hair and makeup done there. We were allowed into the room 3 hours before the ceremony, which was ample time to get hair/makeup and get dressed. We each showered at our hotel rooms then I drove us both over. DH and the Dads got ready in the grooms room about an hour before - the limo picked them up. We moved our car the next day.

I got ready in my parents room (they rented a villa at the Boardwalk with their DVC points) with my bridesmaids, DH got ready in one of the Boardwalk ballrooms. We were told they don't let brides get ready in the rooms at the WP. We wouldn't have had much time to get ready there anyway even if they allowed it. There were weddings immediately before ours and immediately after.

Thanks everyone! That helps alot b/c i was ocnfused! antoher related questions -

When you took pictures after the ceremony, how did trasnportation work for your guests? We are renting 2 charter buses to trasport out guests to Epcot. But how will the rest of our bridal party get there? (We have a lot of people taking pictures with us - 15!)

That's something you should talk about with your WP... he/she can give you various options.

For our wedding, the bus is taking most of the guests to Epcot, then coming back (we're at SBP) to pick up the bridal party. Charles and I are taking the coach over to the Yacht Club, where a limo will pick us up to take us to Epcot.

We also used the charter buses that transported our guests for our bridal party. For us, it wasn't worth the money to rent 2 limos to transport them. Your WP will be able to go over all your options when your date gets closer.

I think that most brides aren’t able to use the Brides Vestibule at the Wedding Pavilion to get ready since often there are wedding right before your own. We got ready in the Whitehall Room at the GF (they just use whatever rooms are available as your getting ready room), or you can use your own resort room.

As far as transportation goes, we also had 2 chartered busses. The busses took our guests over to our pre-reception, then returned for our wedding party and family members. We used a limo to get over there and a town car to leave (this was cheaper than using the limo the whole time).
