So in preparation of our upcoming trip we usually watch Disney movies.. I personally have never seen the cars movie and hear all about RSR on here and about cars land and I'm like what's all the hype about... So I asked my DD16 about it and we decided to watch the movies in prep for our trip so when I get there I'll be look this was in the movie etc... So I watched the 2nd one first because I just couldn't wait for the 1st one to record and the 2nd movie was on AT&T on demand. I was bored and really just couldn't stick with it and dind't finish watching it. So the 2nd one recorded and I wasn't that interested to watch it but DD16 said it was really good much better than the 2nd so last night we watched it and I loved it. It is a very cute movie to which I can relate as my DH is a huge Nascar fan...

Anyhow enough about me what do you do in preparation for your upcoming Disney trip??

YES Cars is much better than the sequel!!!

Well since last trip was a suprise to DS, he didn't realize I was "getting him ready" by watching Pirates, Star Wars and some Disney movies. Hahaha! We also watched the live webcam during WOC/Fireworks a bit, surfed Disney's website, the food stuff on here.

Probably the same stuff we'll do this time also!

Agreed...Cars is great but Cars 2 is AWFUL. I'm hoping that Planes is much better! My son (3) is OBSESSED with Cars which is why we're planning his first Disney trip to DL instead of WDW. Cars Land won't open at WDW until 2016!

I agree--Cars is amazing and Cars 2 is boring. Even my 3 year old holds this belief.

To prep for Disneyland, we watch Disney movies, one per day for a week. We also watch the Disneyland special that's on Netflix or the Disneyland Sing-A-Long. We also listen to Disney music in the car.

We have been watching all of the movies that the kids don't automatically pick themselves. I want DD3 to recognize as many characters as possible when we get there.

We have also been planning outfits for everyone.

I'm about halfway done figuring out the major details for our park days (MM, character meal, DCA days, etc). In the near future I'm going to start thinking about which days we plan for fireworks, parades, etc.

Our time in Anaheim is only about a third of our whole road trip vacation, so I am also having the plan the rest of the travel details.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone with my disappointment in cars 2 :(

No, add us to the list. Big let down.

We also watch lots of Disney movies and the Disney planning DVD. Before the next trip I think I'll show my son some rides on YouTube. I think he will go on more rides that way, if he knows what to expect (or it will backfire and he will refuse, lol).

My daughter is quite the list maker so she outlined 20 movies for us to watch in the 20 weeks leading up to our trip. :goodvibes Yesterday was the Lion King. She is quite into the Disneybounding website so there has been much planning of outfits too! I love that my 18 year old still gets into the planning and fun of it so much. :cloud9:

I normally purchase new underwear. Hey you asked. Oh and I bring new socks as well. I love socks!

~~ I love you Phil and you will forever be with me! Forever my very best and most special friend! I love you to no end. ~~

Leading up to our Christmas trip I made my family double up on their vitamins, drink cranberry, orange and Pom juices, eat right and get plenty of exercise and rest. I was so afraid I had spent that much money and they were going to get sick. I don't know if it worked, but I can say we didn't get a cold this winter at all.

Lana :)

We usually watch movies related to attractions or characters that we want to meet. This past trip we rewatched the Cars movies to brush up for Carsland (I am also not a fan of Cars 2).
We also make a very casual plan- what restaurants we want to hit up, must see shows, rides and meet and greets.
And if the girls will be riding something for the first time we You Tube videos about it.
