I thought I had it all planned out until my boyfriend decides he would rather fly than drive. It would save us sooo much money but it just takes so long to get there. (We are in Ohio) So, I have started looking into some packages on Expedia. Is it really cheaper to go with the whole package? I got a really good deal on a rental car, so I won't be including that. I had wanted to try to use Priceline for the hotel. Any suggestions out there???? BTW, it will be me, my BF and our 6 year old son. My entire budget is around 2,000-2,500. :headache:

Take a deep breath:teeth:

You're going to have a great trip..you can take a look at www.itasoftware.com It's a great search site for airfares.. I'm pulling up $248 on American from Dayton..but you might want to try Southwest, as well, if they fly from a city near you:)

Lots of DISers have found some great deals with priceline.. you can also try www.easyclicktravel.com www.hotelkingdom.com , and that will give you a good place to start:)

If you're not sure about a specific hotel, do a quick search here, and you can also look at www.tripadvisor.com

HTH! Let us know what you find!:)...and welcome to the Dis!!

Thanks for the info. I just found a $228 rate out of Columbus. (it is always cheaper than Dayton) That seems to be the norm around here. Looks like its going to be about $700 for the flight itself for all 3 of us. I got a good rate of $199.50 with budget. I just have to agree on a hotel and pray that my income tax comes in on time and the fares are still around this price in a month or so....Aaaaakkkk!!

go look on www.skyauction.com

they have some deals that INCLUDE hotels.

they have one of my favorites Celebrations world resort.

so if you bid is say $25 (it shouldn't have to be this high) + $195 + $195 (that is the price for each airline ticket) + $195 + $15 (their fee) - then total for flight and resort is $625. this is for a week.

now they only have some days to allow flight - fri or sat (might be sun, too).

but read the ads.

you would still need a rental car.

We are going to the world in a few weeks. We are also a family of 3...AND I have a Cody too...he is 8. I spent around $560 on airfare & $1380 on resort and tickets. We are going to add on the dining plan, so our total will be just a hair under $2500. Without the dining it is just under $2000----->and we are staying onsite at the Coronado Springs Resort. Have you considered staying on site? We booked thru AAA. (Not air, that was on my own with Jetblue) We are using the Magical express, so we don't even need a car!

Just a thought! You can even do an onsite resort & air package thru expedia, although AAA is probably cheaper if you are a member...maybe even worth it to join.

If you stayed at a value resort on property it would be even cheaper. Can't hurt to look, if you haven't already!
