In Just 4 months we are getting our Disney feet wet at the All Star Music Resort for 9 nights and 10 days!!! With FREE dinning... With a PIN Code!!!

Tell me all about the ALL Star Music!!

One thing I can tell you is that the food court at All-Star Sports will be closed so you can expect your food court to be crazier than usual.

That's ok.. I can go with the flow.....

And it shouldn't be TOO busy, what weeks are you going ? Hopefully its truly in down season, which will make it even better.

Congrats on "getting your feet wet" but be warned, this place is addicting ! We honeymooned there in Feb 2012, couldn't wait to return, just did 2 weeks in May, and already planning our next trip :)

You are going to have an awesome time :)

All 3 all star resorts usually share busses but sometimes they each have their own bus. This is usually the case at park closing. If you encounter a really long line for all star music look at the lines for the other 2 all stars. One of them may have a shorter line. You can ride that bus and walk over to your resort. Since you are at music you are in the middle so you could walk over from sports or movies! We did this one night from MK. We rode the sports bus since it was 1/4 of the line for music. We cut through the parking lot and we were at our resort.

It's a cute resort. Over the top Disney but perfect for a first stay. If I remember correctly, it was our very first time staying on property, just for a night, before we moved to OKW. I remember loving the huge characters in the courtards. Do you have kids? They will love it. The main pool is huge. No water slide, but still fun with characters shooting water, etc..I think it's a great way to dive into Disney.
Have fun planning. Hope the time goes by fast for you!

We have a 14 y/o DD Who LOVES everything Music!

Food & Wine festival and MNSSHP are going on then.

This should still be a "Mid Season" time, maybe on the side of light season. You can check things like:

http://www.undercovertourist.com/planning/when-to-visit/disney-world-crowds-calendar_october-2013.html

To check overall crowd levels, its hard to say how it will be at a specific resort though. Also, if free dining gets extended, and covers your dates, expect a bit of an uptick in the crowd levels.

Generally, looks like a pretty darn good time to be there ! :)

Stayed there first time ever at WDW. Fantsatic time except for one thing which has nothing to do with quality or service. We had a room that was all the way at the back of the the resort. ALL THE WAY. Way in the back beyond the piano bar. I gotta tell you after a long day at the parks the long walk was not welcome, not to mention if you want something from the QS counter it was a long walk. I would request a room toward the front of the resort. Tell them DH has a back back or pripheral artery disease, it might pursuade them to definitely give you a room up front. :thumbsup2

yes, but there are rumours, just rumours, that Free dining will be extended to a general public offer, which sometimes do follow PIN offers.

Which is why I noted that "IF" free dining gets extended, it will get a little busier, but still looks like a great time to be there.

Thats great All Star Resorts have great areas to just roam around, Food courts are great for all 3 meals and the pools are all awesome there..Have a great time

I've stayed at all three and ASMu is our favourite by far. I've been in the rock section a couple times and broadway twice. I liked the broadway section even though it was a bit further. There's a tiny little courtyard that is very pretty and tranquil with a fountain that I enjoy passing. It's close to the piano pool which is great at night. Rooms are a bit on the small side but how much are you really going to be in the room anyways. It's clean and comfy. Food court had something for everyone. Never had a bad meal there. Movies are shown most nights by the main pool which is a nice touch. I'll be returning in Sept for a quick 5 night stay. Can't wait. Enjoy!
