Getting one Membership Number for multiple contracts

Hello everyone!

I am in the closing phase for two smaller contracts, and just entered ROFR for a third contract today. I was not a member before. All three contracts have the same Use Year. Will disney automatically give me one membership number for all 3 contracts? They are for 2 different resorts if that makes a difference. Should I call disney after the first one closes and I get a membership number, to make sure that the other 2 would be added to the same membership?

Thanks so much!

I am curious about this as well...we are in ROFR on two contracts with the same UY too.

I had my first 2 resale contracts close a few weeks apart, and Disney gave me 2 different member numbers. I was able to catch the mistake with Disney before it was too late, and had the contracts put under the same membership number. After I had a membership number, I made sure to put the number at the top of any closing documents, in hopes that Disney would see it, and add the contracts to my master contract. I have had no issues since I started putting my membership number on the closing papers.

If they are separate use years you get different numbers. If resales are same use years, you can get them all put under one member number but they don't do it automatically. You have to request it be done so they are specifically aware of the issue when closing occurs.

This has been a issue for many members. Another cause for multiple member numbers is if the contracts have any differences in your names. They have to be identical and all titled the same. Our last purchase our Guide submitted the contract titles different than my instructions. I had to rescind the contract to get the issue corrected. Imposable to do if you are buying resale.

The contracts all have an October UY. 2 are for BCV and one is BWV. The only problem is that 2 are through ROFR and are both in the process of closing - both are small BCV. They passed ROFR within 10 days of each other. I don't have a membership number yet, but both will likely go through closing and get submitted to member services around the same time. They were purchased through 2 different brokers. Do I just hope that one passes first so that I get a member number to contact disney and let them know there is another on the way? Can it be changed if they go through on the same day and are assigned different membership numbers?

I am not 100% sure on the process. After final closing through the broker they just send in the info to member services to be entered into the system, correct? So as soon as I get word that one is closed can I contact member services even though I won't have a membership number? How long does it take to get in the system and be assigned a membership number?

Sorry for all the questions!
Thanks,
K

Wow glad I read this have my fingers crossed that we close soon, sent closing agent info on our existing contract so that both have same number.

From what I have been told and experienced, once a number is assigned, it's final. When buying resale, we always close on one contract at a time, supplying our existing member number and a example of how we want the title listed.

Good luck and I hope that it works out OK.
