Thank you to everyone for all the kind words of encoragement and info!

While I was supposed to be going for surgery tomorrow, I was actually back in the ER on friday night, was admitted, and they performed surgery on Sunday! I wasn't able to come home until yesterday, and while I'm a little sore, I feel better than I have in months!

I'm eating solid foods again and aside from barely being able to keep my eyes open from the pain meds I am feeling pretty decent.

I know that to some, this procedure isn't much, but I was so nervous and listening to everyone has really helped. Thank you all so very much!

So glad you are starting to feel better. Sorry you had to go through the pain of Friday night but that is all behind you now. Listen to your doctor's instructions and get some rest.

Well, to me it was a big deal. I do know some people who just sailed through it. Glad you are on the mend! My surgery was also done as an emergency and I think I liked that better than being told in advance.

Feel better! I remember for the first two weeks or so I took it easy and lived off of english muffins and chicken broth with pastina and carrots. I've been able to add different foods back into my diet but I still found if I eat anything too fatty or greasy or creamy, either it does not want to stay or I get a bad case of bile reflux. But I've never felt the intensity of the pain I had before the surgery.
