Getting my first ever pedicure....

....at noon today! I have never done this before but have always wanted to. My dh and I are going away for our anniversary tomorrow so I thought I would buy a pair of new sandals and then I thought why not make my feet pretty (as pretty as feet can be anyway!). I hope I'm not disappointed like I was when I got my first massage a couple of years ago!

You will love your pedicure! Although I'm surprised to hear that you were disappointed in your massage; what didn't you like?

A pedicure is absolutely lovely and your feet will look so nice after it's done! I started getting pedicures last year and I'm addicted now! Although if you have ticklish feet, your toes may curl once in a while!

I actually had my massage on a Disney Cruise and frankly, it just wasn't all that great. It was a half body massage and I think I would have preferred a facial or something.

Looking forward to the toe thing though!!

Some people like them, some don't. I like them and my feet look great afterwards. I have a lot of callouses on my feet and the pedicurist makes them look a lot better. They are expensive and some people say they can do as nice of a job themselves. Enjoy!

I've been skittish about ever having a manicure or pedicure. Do they deal with people who are a lot more accustomed to running shoes and Tevas than spas and strappy sandals?

I started having pedicures about 6 - 7 years ago. I refuse to wear sandals/open toe shoes without a manicure. From May through Sept./Oct. I must have it done. I would rather have my toe nails polished than my hands done if I had to choose.

Just be careful where you go, clean, etc. Bring your own razor if you want your heels scraped.

I don't have this done anymore. A podiatrist gave me a great tip - everynight (or whenever you remember) rub vaseline pet. jelly on your heels, keep socks on to bed. Try it - you will notice a difference fast.

If you're ticklish, just let them know, but they can probably tell by the way you're squirming
