Has anyone been married in MK in front of the castle at night? I love the castle all lit up at night and it has always been my dream to be married right in front of the castle. I would be willing to wait until after park hours to do something like this. I am thinking that we will do an intimate ceremony with just the 2 of us. Is something like this even possible? I haven't checked with a Disney coordinator yet because I'm kind of scared what the price would be. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

There have been many inquiries about this lately.....the price is $500,000.00 and it is extremely difficult to plan cause you are at the mercy of Disney. All the way down to the date.....they choose for you....according to their schedule.

Unfortunately, I think the minimum is 500,000 to be married there and there has been a lot of discussion about the trouble couples face when trying to marry there as there are so many restrictions- the first time I saw the price I thought it was a typo - i really though it was maybe 50,000

More to add............look at all your options, Disney has many beautiful spots besides MK castle. And if you don't have your ceremony there you can have a photo shoot their at night while the park is closed. It runs you about $800.00 (2006 prices).

I had a planning session in early August and asked about the castle. I met with Pam and she said that they haven't been doing castle weddings, but next year they may start up a package for it for their new promotion, I think it's something like, "the year of a million dreas/wishes" something like that. I am sure it will still be very expensive though.

I checked about getting married inside MK, not in the castle, but we wanted to use an attraction inside MK as part of it. She quoted me around 50 thousand, but then again she said she had never done one like this and had to talk to her boss. She also said there would be a lot of red tape to clear with Disney and that can take some time. Which meant I couldnt even set a date until Disney got around to ok everything. I later heard back from her and she said it was going to be more than that to do it in the MK as they have to close it down and such. I just said thanks and decided to do it elsewhere and just honeymoon at WDW this is our first time there. We really wanted to do the wedding there, but the way she explained it it was going to be soooo much red tape and pain of getting this or that approved I decided to say NM. :bride:

If you are interested in a small wedding party ceremony with the Castle in the backround, you could also look into an Intimate Ceremony at Sunset Point. It isn't in the MK, but rather outside of the Poly Resort. The Castle appears fairly close in the photos and it would be a way to have the Castle as a feature in your wedding without breaking the bank. There are photos of the location on the FTW website.

Yeh i'd love to get married infront of the castle, but $500.000 is a bit to much!.lol :rotfl2: , so i decided to still have a theme park theme and get married at epcot! princess:

Definitely do the MK photo shoot!! I think that they start taking pictures at 5:30am and finish up around 7:00am. I have seen MANY pics on this board of brides/grooms at "night" in front of the castle - when in reality the pics were in the early morning. That way you could have the look you wanted at a huge discount of $499,200!!

Yeh!.lol.. I'm defentially going to have the magic kingdom photoshoot! princess:. The castle looks so pretty at night.. especially in some of the magic kingdom wedding pictures! :)
