I'm so happy everyone has joined it for this journey to my wedding day!

Can you all believe it's already November?! Where does the time go???

Soon, it will be Thanksgiving with Christmas right around the corner...I have a busy November coming up...this weekend is my cousin's baby shower. November 16th is my brother's 22nd birthday and then, November 20th is a different cousin's baby shower and a different different cousin's going away party lol She's moving to South Carolina with her boyfriend! The 22nd is Chris' 27th birthday (old man) with Thanksgiving just two days behind that. That mixed with student teaching, school and work...I'm exhausted just thinking about it all!
Anyway, let me give a little update here. As you all know, our current plan was to stay at POR for this trip. I was originally hoping for free dining, which seemed like a good bet if Disney released the same discounts next year as they did for this year. Well, I began thinking more and realized that with our APs we can get the Tables in Wonderland card for 20% off meals and alcohol...the more I thought about it, the more I realized NOT doing the dining plan and just taking advantage of a great AP room only rate would probably be a better idea! We'd get the discount on the food and wouldn't be restricted to what the dining plan says we have to get (like the desserts we never eat half the time!) Of course, like any good DISer, my wheels kept turning now. If we didn't need to rely on free dining, I started to wonder how many DVC points we would need to stay deluxe this trip...I have a good friend who has been asking us if we wanted to rent from her. At first we figured no...but yesterday at work I ran some numbers and realized that at the price she'll rent them to us for, we can stay at almost ALL of the DVC resorts for cheaper or just slightly more than we'd pay at POR

I quickly emailed my friend...it looks like this will be a great possiblity for us!! I'm not going to say exactly what we're hoping for right now because I want to finish talking it over with my friend...we're meeting for dinner with her and her daughter next week! So, my dear DIS friends, I'm going to keep you in suspense until then...
I had a few requests to post more of my engagement pictures from the Poly...if you're friends with me on FB or had started reading the now defunct June 2011 TR, you may have seen these already. But, for anyone interested, here's some more of our engagement pictures from a private shoot we did in June.
About 99% sure we're going to use this one for our Save the Date cards!
We did out shoot at 8:30am and got about 60 shots taken. We received them all on a disc with all the rights to them by 5:00 that night. At the time, the cost of the shoot was $100 but I've since heard that they increased it to $150. Still, I think it was worth it unless you know a good photographer who can give you a better deal near you, which we don't. We were happy with so many of the shots. The only thing I found lacking a little in the photographer we have was some of the poses he had use do were super awkward looking or feeling. I may be wrong on this but I don't believe that Disney photographers are professionally trained...again, I'm not sure that's a fact but it's my belief. So, I think that's why some of the posing wasn't perfect. I didn't post the awkward pics, btw lol
Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their week! Stay tuned for more!
