I've recently convinced a friend to drive down with me about 10 days from now. We are staying offsite and are only going for a day, but I still kind of want a magic band because I've never had one. :rotfl2:

I also want to make sure, since we are only going for one day, that everything is good to BEFORE rope drop. How do guests get their magic bands or even regular tickets when they buy them this close to when they want to go? Will I be able to go to downtown Disney the night before and pick our tickets and/or magic bands up? And if so, what time do I need to get there by? We are coming from about 10 hours away so I want to make sure I leave in plenty of time.

Are you staying at one of the resorts? If you are then you would get them at check-in since it is so close they cannot ship them.

If you are staying offsite then you can purchase them and yes you can go to DTD to make the purchase and have your ticket linked.

Sorry just seen you were staying offsite so yes you can go to DTD and purchase your ticket and magic band.I believe that GR at DTD are open until 11-11:30pm depending on which day of the week you are going.

After you purchase your tickets/magic bands you can then schedule your FP+ selections for the next day they have kiosks at GR be sure to schedule them so you won't have to waste time in the park in the morning doing it,you can also schedule them using the MDE app on your phone.Hope this helps have a Great trip!

Thanks! I was hoping to make my FP+ reservations this week. Are you saying I could buy tickets through Disney online, make FP+ reservations beforehand, and then purchase a MB at DTD Friday night, and then link it through MDE before I go to the parks Saturday?

Can someone confirm that this is what I need to do? It's not enough time to have them shipped to me correct?
