HI, first stay to GCH coming up - checking to see where one can get laundry done whilst at the hotel - we will have our 2 DS's - 7 and 4 with us and would be anxious to get at least some laundry done

TIA

We had asked this in an earlier post, but what about a neighborhood laundry with pick up and delivery. There are 6 of us.pirate:

Thanks

Hmmmm, I believe the DLR hotels offer pick up and delivery laundry service. At least I remember reading a tag or something hanging on one of the hangers in the closests at PP, and with it they provided a plastic laundry bag.:thumbsup2

Now, if you're staying offsite, I'm not sure. I just can't remember reading anything about it in any of the hotels that we stayed at.:confused3

If you use the pick up laundry service, its extremely expensive. I want to say I paid something like $8 to have a pair of khaki pants washed. The GCH has the best of the three onsite laundry facilities( PP has no laundry and DLH has like two or three washers). It had something like 6 regular washers and one very large one and about 8 dryers (the large commerical type). I would think that there would have to be a laundry mat somewhere there on Harbor however. I did do laundry twice at GCH, it was crowded both times but we still managed to get it done okay. Oh and Blackjack Delta, I was also doing laundry for a crowd since it was my family of four and my brother's family (he did his along with me). Again, it was a challenge but at least they have more than just one or two washers/dryers like some hotels.

Ahh, missing those DVC villas right? I know we will be missing the w/d at DL.

Thanks Amy & Dan

Not to be too obsessive but we do like to plan as much as we can - do the machines take quarters or any other forms of payment (we ask since we live in Canada we would need to secure US quarters ahead of time) :laundy:

Please advise

After being on the road for two days, the GF usually likes to get a few loads done while we are there. I am not picky about my clothes but she and the girls are.

The machines take quarters. I think it was about $2 to wash and another $2 to dry. As I recall there was a change machine in there, but I may be thinking of the WDW resort laundry rooms. If not, the front desk will be glad to give you change for laundry. I also cannot remember if they sold soap and fab softner, I always bring my own from home. It did have a table and chairs in there. I sat and read my book the first time I did laundry and the second time dh did it for me while we were at the pool. I so understand your wanting to know, I like to know what laundry scenario lies in wait for me, especially on Disney vacations where we produce a ton of stinky, dirty laundry!
