What are my chances of getting in at lunch without FP+? Is it still possible to wait in line, or is it strictly FP+ now?

Depends on when you go and how long you want to wait. We got in line around 10:30 am and waited about 20 minutes or so to get in without a fast pass.

Thank you! Was that recently, since FP+ became available? We're going in May. I'd be thrilled with a 20 minute wait! I was just wondering if the wait would be longer now that some people are getting FP+. We're offsite and not eligible yet.

It's a separate FP available only to resort guests right now -- Idk if that will change so I would plan to get there early. The SB line is about 2 hours around noon, but that wasn't a very high crowd level day (maybe a 4?)

It was in September before FP+ went fully live, although many were booking through the special link and some resorts. Our strategy was to be in area around 10 am and we wandered while keeping an eye on the line. When it got to the end of the bridge, we got in line.

We have eaten there twice but both were prior to FP even being an option. We got in line around 10:30 and were in by 11. We don't mind an early lunch so this strategy worked well for us.

Just a note that the line may look long, but it moves quickly. When we got in line around 11:30 the line was waaaaaaaay past the bridge. We were still seated within half an hour. I've waited longer than that at Pecos Bill's.

My upcoming trip is in May, and I had a few questions about the magic bands and my military tickets, and if that would work with a split stay for two on site resorts, etc... I called and got those questions answered, but then I also asked about the BOG lunch FP. The CM on the phone told me that, of course, that is still in the testing phase, and you make the reservation at a seperate web link - however, you must receive a special PIN to be able to reserve it. She said those PINs are sent out at random, so just because I am onsite, with everything linked and ready to go, I can't make a BOG reservation for lunch without that PIN. I believe she said they would come in email, and would arrive fairly close to the guest's check in date. Bummer, because I was looking forward to actually getting in there for the first time!:(

Apparently there were people sharing PINS on facebook and when others tried to log in and use them, they were denied. The PIN is linked to a particular guest. If anyone has any different information, I would love to hear it.

I have booked twice and both times never had a pin, just used reservation number. It wasn't available to closer to my dates though, like maybe a week or 2

Does anyone know if you an make a FP for more than one day?
I was wondering this, as well. I got one under my MDE, and I was wondering if I could get another under my husband's, or if it would reject use of the same reservation number. I haven't attempted it out of fear of losing the one I have.

After you have had your first Fp meal at BoG, beginning the day after the meal, you can schedule another one during the available timeframe.

We used the site to book at FP+ for BOG for February 21. Based on what I read here, I thought I would be able to book BOG FP+ for our March trip the day after we used our first BOG FP+. So I tried and it wouldn't work. But a couple days after our February trip ended, I was able to load the new reservation number for March and get the lunch FP+.

Does the BOG FP+ count against the 3 allowed FP+'s for that day in MK? I thought it did, but just read on another thread that it doesn't.

Pardon if this is a silly question. It's just that with this new system still being in transition, I'm expecting things to change quite a bit between now and our Sept trip, so I'm trying to #1 learn about FP+ as is it now and #2 keep abreast of changes as they occur

It is completely separate from the 3 Fp+ allotment for rides/attractions. It is separate from MDE so take a screenshot of your confirmation page. Add in a note to your plans on MDE.

OK Thanks. Good to know, but confuses me even more. At one time, I used to know just about everything one needed to know about planning a WDW trip. I feel soooo behind the learning curve right now! :worried:

I wouldn't stress too much right now. Things will change before September... so just keep checking and keeping your notes up to date.

Thanks. We ate there last year, and I wouldn't mind eating there twice in one week, but I don't want to wait in line.
