Hey All;

I'm 33 and a half weeks! I'm super active and have been throughout my pregnancy although my 6 pack has turned into a 24 pack or something like that ;o(

I teach beginner's karate at a club in Toronto (Ontario) and I was thinking how great it would be for me as a new Mom to teach a class for other new Moms because it's low impact, great for regaining core muscles and balance and a great way to revive your self confidence. Is this something that you think some new moms would be interested in or am I crazy? And hey - for all you new dads, there's MMA and ju-jitsu or a regular karate class ;o)

What have you done to get back into the pre-baby body? Any tips?

I trained throughout my entire pregnancy and was back in the dojang about 9 weeks postpartum (C section). I loved being back and missed it terribly the whole time I was gone.

I think having a new moms class would be great... especially if you don't push it too hard. I had lots of time where I just had to sit down... but I was training with lots of teenagers (and other adults) in a red belt level at that time. :)

Good for you Nette! 9 weeks is a prety good measure of when to return I think for a c-section... I'm hoping to naturally and maybe give it a month before I get back in the dojo.

I gave up doing the regular black belt class just a couple weeks ago and I think as long as I can stand, I can still teach my beginners. Some of the guys think I'm nuts.
