On our last trip, we had a car, so we were able to stop at the local Super Walmart for groceries. Any suggestions on getting groceries w/ out a car? Do people use the Grocery Order form from the resorts or are there other options?

We have used for several years WeGoShop. You email them your grocery list and they deliver to you room no matter what resort. We've used them for our last 5 visits to BWV over the years. They are very good and dependable. Frankly we used them this past Christmas stay at BWV and they delivered a $300 list for our stay. Here is their site http://www.wegoshop.com/

Thanks for your reply. I checked the site out very quickly...b/c they would be delivering to a DVC resort, which is inside Disney, do you add an addt'l 3% to your order total?

We also used Garden Grocer on our last trip - great selection comparable prices to my area - and our things were at the bell stand when we arrived. We are planning to use them again in Oct!!!

I also used wegoshop. I do not believe you add 3%. I know there is a service charge per order total, but it is not b/c you are at a DVC. Tip is not included in her fee, but she is well worth it. She is wonderful.

Thank you all for your input! How far in advance do you place your orders typically?

We have used Wegoshop 3 times with no problems.

We too, have used gardengrocer.com for our last trip. We even ordered a case of beer (which isn't on their list), by noting it on the order (via comment/special order spot).
They delivered promptly to BCV and bell services held it for us until we were back from the parks. I won't hesitate to use them for our upcoming trip in Dec!:thumbsup2

So you don't have to be present for delivery with beer? It can be accepted at bell serices for pick up? I think I heard you needed to fax your proof of age to the delivery company is this right?

Not sure where you're staying, but if you at BWV, BCV, YC or Swan/Dolphin, there's a Hess gas station/convenience store right outside the driveway to the BWV. It's within walking distance of the above hotels, provided you aren't planning on lots of stuff. They sell water, soda, milk, beer, snacks, freezer stuff, etc. Prices much better than the little convenience stores on Disney. Just a thought if you only looking for a few things!

P.S. there's another one across from the entrance to Downtown Disney - which might work if you take the stuff back on the bus to your resort and possibly walk to it from Sarasota Springs.

Thanks so much for this info. Our current reservation is at SSR, so the one across from DTD would work for us. Is it across from the DTD shops or the PI area?

Someone on the cake thread mentioned that she ordered groceries and a B-Day cake through Publix.

Anyone else go though them?

We used gardengrocer.com in July and again this February. Very easy and convenient. We ordered beer in the comments section and called the day after delivery to pay for it since it wasn't figured in our order total. We didn't have to fax proof of our age and we weren't there when they delivered. I don't know if that is typical--we haven't gotten proofed anywhere in a long time, I guess we're getting old. :confused3 What's really nice about getting groceries delivered--and we only order about $50--is being able to have bottled water, milk, beer, snacks and breakfast food without paying a fortune in the resort gift shop.

Grocery total up to $100.00 = $22.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $27.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $37.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of grocery total shop & delivery fee

*Please Note: The above rates and fees apply to local residents and vacationers staying outside of Disney World Resorts and are cash / check discount prices. Please add an additional 3% of grocery total for any other payment option. The shop & delivery fee is one fee, there is not a seperate shop fee and a seperate delivery fee. If you would like to place your order over the internet and you are a local resident or a vacationer staying outside the Disney World Resort, please click HERE and you will be taken directly to the Online Order Form.

So it does say outside the Disney World Resort, but others of you have success with this ... right?

I don't see a place to click to place an order if you are staying inside the Disney World Resort. Am I missing where that is? or do I just click where it says outside anyway?

Also it lists Walmart as one of the shopping choices
is that Super Walmart?
