Getting gray hair!

I guess I was in my early 40's. They weren't grey though they were snow white and they sure showed up against dark hair.

That was almost 20 years ago and I have no idea of what color they would be now or how many there are.
I started coloring it then and have never stopped.

I found my first ones at age 19. I found three of them and I actually gave them names...I was working as a teachers aide at the time and I just knew those grey hairs came from them.....Peter.Margaret,and Harold!

Of course now I have a BUNCH of them at 40ish and I do color my hair.

I have a load of gray hair and have to go for a color job every 3 to 4 weeks. Don't even get me started on the spider veins....... :scared:

DH started in HS; he was salt and pepper at 30 when we married. He's in his late 50s now, and his hair is completely white...but he still has it. Mine started in my late 30s, but accelerated during my pregnancy at 42. I went the "low light" route for a few years, but my hair won't hold color anymore, so the grey is here to stay.

DD has quite a few hairs at age 22; she started in her teens. DS has started; he's 12. They both take after their father, who takes after his mother.

I was a junior in college when a friend sitting behind me plucked out my first grey hair.

In my mid to late twenties they really started to show up quickly. I started dying my hair then and now I'm 33 and I couldn't not dye my hair. It would add years to my age if I went natural now. I'm not totally grey but I have huge patches around my forehead and temples.

I even have one long grey hair that likes to grow in my right eyebrow.

I'm 31. I started getting grey hair around 25. I blame it entirely on my 3 boys :rotfl:

DH is 35. He doesn't have a single grey hair. In fact all the men on his side of the family don't get grey hair. His dad is 65 and has no grey hair...and no, they don't dye it. I think it's a genetic thing :scratchin

I had to smile when I read this!! As a 34 yr old (going on 35) I'v noticed some gray hairs here and there too. What's funny is that a few months ago my mom asked if I had gotten highlights and I said no I guess that's just my gray hairs! :rotfl: Since I have light brown hair the gray looks like blond when the light hits it!! I'm planning on getting real highlights in April to hide it :teeth:

I got my first gray at 20, and now I just keep getting more and more of them. I color or highlight my hair as needed - I think the highlights cover the gray better, it blends in with the blond. I also have to admit that I tend to pluck the most obvious grays as they grow out.

My brother has been almost salt and pepper since 18, he has a lot more gray than I do. He's just glad he still has hair though - our father started going bald at 16!

I am 49 and I have a few strands here and there. More than I want to be honest. :scared:

although, I'm not as bad as my DH. boy he has quite a bit of gray. claims I gave it to him. :rotfl2:

I started to grey in bangs in my 20's. When my 18 year old co-worker said enough is enough that I looked older than her Grandma I started to color it -I was 29. I was still fighting with her that I didn't want to, she dragged me to the salon.

I'm going to be 38 in Sept. HOLY CRAP I'm going to be 38???
I pluck a few grays every now and then. I noticed it is more than it used
to be. OH MY I'm going to be 40 in another 2 years. I am old.
