Getting from WL to FW and back??

We are staying at the WL in early December. We are planning on taking the boat from the WL to FW one afternoon to see the petting farm and stables, etc. We will probably have dinner at the Trail's End and stay for the sing-a-long campfire. We probably won't stay for the movie. If we are ready to head back to the WL around 8pm, how do we get there? Will the boat still be running? If not, is there a bus that will take us directly to the WL from FW? Does anybody have any ideas on how we get back and how long it might take? Thanks!

There is a bus that runs between the two. You can catch the Boone or Crockett bus (either one) right at the bus area at FW which is right near Pioneer Hall and the activity area you will be in. Takes about 5 minutes.

How late the boat runs depends upon how late MK is open. If the boat is not running, just catch a bus. You will want either a Boone or a Crockett--I forget which--but it will be the one heading out of FW and WL will be the first stop. It will take 5 minutes or less on the bus. Have fun, and if you are there late enough you can catch the Boat Parade from the beach at FW.

Thanks so much for the info! After the campfire, will we have to walk back down to Pioneer Hall to catch the bus to the WL, or is there a place to catch the bus that is closer to the campfire area? If we have to walk back to PH, how far is it? It sort of looks like a long walk on the map, but it is hard to judge the distance. Thanks again!

There is a bus stop at the meadows trading area, which is where the camp fire is located. Have a great time!

You can catch at bus after the campfire program that will take you back to the WL without having to change buses. Each busstop has a map and a listing of the buses and their stops. You can just look at the bus listings and see which bus will take you back to the WL.
