Getting from WDW to Sea World or Universal

I have been to WDW many times and have always stayed on property and don't rent a car. What is the easiest way to get to Sea World or Universal for a day while staying at a Disney Resort?

LYNX bus service goes from the MK transportation hub direct to sea world and is very cheap. It is the Public bus system and it is scheduled and with adults I would do it again, we did it. google lynx for the phone number and call them for specific bus number, etc.....they were very helpful, tell them what you want to do and when and they'll help..........MUCH cheaper and less time consuming than a car rental, good luck! SW was a fun day.

We just got back and went to Discovery Cove one day and Sea World on another. I was told by several people that Mears shuttle was the best way to go. That cost us $18/person round trip to Discovery Cove (so for my family of 4 that is $72+tip)

Then I realized we could take a taxi for much less and we took a taxi the day we went to Sea World. It was $20 total each way, + $5 tip.

Another advantage to the taxi is I didn't have to set up a specifc pick up and return time. When we were ready to be picked up, I called the taxi 1-800-422-2222 and by the time I got to the stop to be picked up they were there waiting. And when we left Sea World, we just walked over to the taxi area and one was waiting for a customer. Us.

The scheduled time we had for pick up at Discovery Cove was 3:45pm and we just weren't quite ready to go yet. Their pick up time offered that day was 3:45pm or 5:30pm. Had we just known about the taxi we could've stayed and finished the last few things we wanted to do without feeling rushed. The shuttle driver for our pick up was very, very nice and offered to let me go back in and order our pictures from the day. It took an hour by the time I waited in the very long line so we ended up tipping him $20. If I'd just done the taxi it would've cost me $50 to get to and from Discovery Cove instead of $97. Lesson learned.

I've used Mears to get from WDW to Universal. I had no issues when travelling with Mears.

It's better than waiting for a cab.

I wish I would have checked into this before I went. It was $25 each way for a cab from downtown disney resort to universal. Plus a tip each way. ickkk.
