Getting from WDW hotel to Universal for the day

Hey there! Need your input. Working on a trip for some people who want to stay AT Disney, but go to Universal for a day (or two) for the Harry Potter park. What is the easiest way for them to get over there?

1. Get a cab to and from? (how much is that?).
2. Get a 1 or 2 day rental car from the car-care -center for that part of their stay? I've had people do that in the past, but I think that'd really be kind of a pain in the toosh.

So if you've done "a day at universal" in the midst of your WDW stay, how did you do it?

1. A cab will run you about $40 each way
2. Mears offers a shuttle service which is $18/pp round trip. You need to call the day before to schedule a pick up time at your resort and call them two hours before you want to be picked up at US/IOA
3. Dreams Unlimited is offering a 1 day - 2 park ticket with transportation included for $114/pp + tax.
4. Car rental (depending on what you get $20-$40/per day) plus parking $14/day.

If you think you are only going to spend 1 day there, I would go with the Dreams Unlimited offer.
