Getting from the Poly to DTD and Epcot

I have seen several conflicting reports about how to get to downtown Disney and Epcot from the Polynesian. Some people say you have to go to that TTC to get to both of those from the poly.iIs this true? I thought you could take the monorail to get to Epcot from the Polynesian and take the bus from the Polynesian to get to downtown Disney.

Not sure about the buses, but I'm almost positive that the resort monorail does NOT go to Epcot. You will have to take the resort monorail from the Poly to TTC then change to the Epcot monorail

The only place to get on the monorail TO Epcot is the Ticket and Transportation Center (TCC). The Resort monorail stops at the TCC, the Poly, the GF, the MK, and the Contemporary (in that order), From the Poly, you COULD take the resort monorail and transfer to the Epcot monorail OR you could walk over to the TTC and get on the Epcot monorail directly. I'd probably walk over to the TCC as it would save about 20-30 minutes because you'd have to go around the loop.

The only way to get to DTD directly using Disney transportation from the MK resort area is by bus service from ANY of the hotels (not theme park).
