I'm staying at the Swan and need to get to the Grand Floridian hotel for a conference for a couple mornings. I need some help as to get to/from the resorts. Should I?
1) take the bus from Swan to Ticket counter at Magic Kingdom and get monorail to Grand Floridian
2) Can I walk to EPcot from the swan and get the MOnorail there?
3) Returning from Grand Floridian to the Swan-can I take the monorail to EPCOT and then walk to the Swan, perhaps take bus from GF to Disney MGM and walk back to the swan
Other ideas would be helpful
thanks:goodvibes :cool1:

In order walk to/from Swan to Epcot monorail, you will need park admission to enter/exit Epcot. Maybe someone else knows another path, but that's the one most of us are familiar with. This is also a decent walk (Future World, World Showcase, plus). Note, this will also require 2 monorails (1 to/from Epcot to TTC, a second one from TTC to GF).

Option 1) Should be the fastest and least amount of walking. If you feel like changing things up, I believe there is also a boat GF to/from MK.

Option 3) Yes, you could take GF bus to MGM and walk back.

If you are pressed for time in the morning than I would opt for a taxi to the GF and then on the return do the GF bus to MGM and walk back.

It's a long walk from the Swan to the front of Epcot. My family is still giving me a hard time when I only made them do that once. What can I say, it was the first day of our trip and I wanted to walk through Epcot. :lmao:

Personally, I'd take the bus to the MK and then the monorail to the Grand Floridian and reverse it on the way back.

Hope you have a great trip!

I would take the bus to the Magic Kingdom. However instead of taking the Resort Monorail since it will 1st stop at the Contemporary, TTC and Polynesian before arriving at the Grand Floridian, you can also take the boat which goes to the Grand Floridian because it goes directly there. The only downside might be if you were to just miss the boat because it could be at least a 20 minute wait for the next one to arrive, where as the Resort Monorail comes every 5 minutes or less.

Cab would be the easiest way. If time is not an issue the bus to Magic Kingdom and then the monorail over.

Glad I found this because I was asking the same thing! Have a brunch reservation for my birthday and so would also love to know how long it would take for these various routes since we need to arrive at a specific time. To make matters worse, it will be one of the days where the Monorail service will be out of whack: http://www.wdwmagic.com/transportat...evised-routes-on-express-and-resort-beams.htm. I'm also tempted to start the day of at HS doing TSMM and taking the bus from there to the hotel and telling my family to meet me there - but that's a whole other story!!!

TAXI are the best way to go if time is an issue, when traveling between resort in different resort areas. I spend a couple hundred dollars (against my wife wishes) on cabs every visit, because I hate using Disney buses.
