How hard is it to get from POR to POFQ eithout a car? Can you walk?

We have two rooms at POFQ and one at POR (long story involving date changes, varying arrival times and codes/AAA codes). We are still trying to switch the POR room to POFQ but there is no availability at any price for our dates, apparently (Jan 12 - 16)

If the folks at POR want to take the boat to DTD, is that possible? How would they get to the boat from POR?

(BTW - we also have 2 rooms at SOG, so we are all over the place!)

Thanks for any information!

You can easily walk between them, or you could take the boat. The boat runs from DTD to FQ then POR then DQ and back to DTD. It's not very fast but it's quite pleasant. I took the boat from FQ so I am not sure where the dock is at POR but I know there is definitely one there.

Thanks for the fast reply!

How long a walk is it?

Would it be possible to request buildings at pOR and POFQ that are closer to each other? Which ones?

In www.allearsnet.com go to the pictures of the hotel and they have the map of both hotels with building numbers and everything. You can see the details there.

I'll be there Saturday. :cool1:

If you request the Panterre Place mansion, you will be next to FQ.

It's roughly a five minute walk along the water between POR and POFQ.

They also have a van shuttle that runs between both resorts if you don't feel like walking. The shuttle stop is located right in front of the main building where you check in. I believe it runs throughout the day.

For POR, you can pick up the boat to DTD right behind the main building where you check in.

Hope you have a GREAT time!

All transportation is shared between POFQ and PORS (boats, buses and vans). The buses hit FQ first then stop at RS so even the bus is an option if you want to go from front of FQ to front of RS. Parterre Place is the closest mansion to FQ with at least a 5 to 8 minute walk to the outer buildings at FQ. It is very nice to walk inbetween them. Don't forget that you also get to use all amentities available at RS if your staying at FQ (additional pools, water sprites, bikes, etc. There is a lounge (Riveroost) at RS that has free shows beginning Wed. through Saturday nights. The entertainer for the show is Bob Jackson and he is wonderful to watch and gets the audience to participate in those shows everynight. It is really a great way to end a day.

Sorry to see that your group is spread out but everyone will have fun at Disney.

hi Another very good tip is the horse and carriage ride which goes from por. at the back of main reception. This cost around $30 and it takes you all around both sites, this is very nice and quite relaxing.Remember to book early to avoid dissapointment. This can be done 30 days before if you like. Both sites are really great and are equally accessible. Also they both have excellent water slides in the pools for big kids!and little kids! have a great trip! we are back there in december and cant wait! From 3 very excited Brits!

It took us, me, my 63 yr old Mom and two kids, ages 7 and 10 a little bit less than 10 minutes to walk down by the river over to POFQ from POR. There was also a boat but since it was Easter and we wanted to see Minnie in her Easter Sunday dress, we decided walking would be quicker. It's actually an extremely beautiful walk. Also don't miss breakfast at Boatwrights it's FANTASTIC!
