What is the easiest way to get to get to and from the Boardwalk from the Pop Century? We have a Illuminations Cruise booked and are tryting to find the easiest way to make it work. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks in advance...

LOL - easiest is a cab - probably 12-15 each way plus tip.

Otherwise I would take the Pop Bus to MGM and walk or take the boat from MGM to the Boardwalk. You could also take a bus to MK or AK and then a bus from the park you chose back to the Boardwalk.

Resort to Resort transportation is tricky, in your case I would probably use WDW transportation prior to the cruise and take a cab home. Leave lots and lots of extra time and if your early there is plenty to do while you wait. FIWI if you go tot MGM unless the boat is at MGM the walk is usually quicker.

You could also take a bus to Epcot but that would leave you at the FW entrance and you would have to use your park ticket to enter Epcot, walk through Epcot to the exit between France & UK, then take the boat or walk to Boardwalk.

Honestly, when we don't have a car we budget cab money for resort to resort transportation its so much easier with less stress and much less time invloved.

Unless you've made arangement to be picked up at the Boardwalk, I think you'll want to be across the pond over at the BC/YC. It's a short walk or boat ride over there, but MGM and then to BC/YC (via boat or bus) might be a better choice. I think boat from MGM make a lot of sense now that I think about it -- puts you very close to where you need to be.

A cab for the return trip makes a lot sense, unless it's hard to get one at that time.

Oops, sorry you are correct. The OP said the Boardwalk but even though I have never taken the Illuminations cruise the marina is at the Beach Club. My suggestions still apply, just substitute Beach Club for Boardwalk!

FWIW, we have never had a problem getting a cab even fairly late at night from any of the resorts. In this case, after the cruise just head through the lobby to the entrance of the Beach Club and the valet will set you up.

I think that the cab makes a lot of sense for after the cruise. THANKS!!! :cool1:

Have they stopped running the cruises out of Boardwalk?? I know people that have taken the IllumiNations Cruise from there. Granted it was a few years ago, and to be honest, I haven't noticed the cruises leaving from there lately but then again, I haven't noticed them from YC/BC either because I'm usually someplace else at 8:30ish.

I believe CrazyHakim posted a few months ago that all the boats now leave from the YC marina.
